Papermaker Neil Hopkins stirs the pulp vat at the Two Rivers papermill in Exmoor, Somerset - ready to load the mould and make his latest batch of handmade papers.
This image is part of my "Working Lives, Lost Skills" project through which I am recording the work of some of the last known exponents of traditional rural crafts and industries.

tells me that the man wearing the white shirt is Jimmy Campbell from Denny.
Walking back up Silver Lake Outlet to the base of Papermill Falls at Letchworth SP, Joe, Christy and I came across an odd section of mud that had hardened and cracked from all the dry hot weather we've had recently. It looks like something from another planet. This leaf managed to find its way into one of the larger cracks.
What a great find that fallsguyd ( David) discovered , and he, wnywaterfallers ( Joe ) and I went to explore. It was an awesome day to spend with two great flickr friends doing what we all love.

now demolished.
When I did the odd half shift on the solvopulper in the early 1070's you mostly filled up with water that had been used before but you could put fresh water in if required. As any posts you may read will say the water from the River Carron is very pure and soft.
1933 I went into this shop many times when I was in my early teens late 60's
In those days no pc's or stuff so we were into books and pens this shop was jam packed with stock it would have been a shoplifters paradise ran in the time I went in by a male and female husband & wife or brother & sister I cant remember
It is certain that we will not be able to view this building for much longer
