Found plenty of this Lichen down by the Leigh Brook at The Knapp & Papermill nature reserve in Worcestershire.

Was used when crushed to whiten lawyer's wigs, and is used in the perfume industry as a preservative.

I dropped in at the the PaperMill (a local Artists Run Initiative) www.thepapermill.org.au/ for a sketching night. They had a large sheet of butchers paper on the table and ink and brush.

What is this series of sketches?? In the latest Ampersand magazine there is a series of ‘found photos’ by Erik Kessels, following one woman over several decades. In each photo, she’s holding the same pose, eying her target while staring down the barrel of her gun. Very strange - but I was very pleased with my inkk wash - my first attempt !

This cottage was probably built in the late 1700's /early 1800' and eventually was demolished to allow the 'home' to be extended. I am told that the child in this picture

what age is she here about 2 years old? made the blouse in other pictures whilst waiting on paper coming into the salle when she was about 16 years old.

Perhaps a poignant picture of the 3 vans parked in formation before the occupants go to work.

Still there, as far as I know this was the only vehicle access to the other side of the canal at Bonnybridge until bridges over the canal were built this was a very industrial area with lots of foundries etc

Challenged by one of my learners, we went to try night shots a Bowater Papermill, Catawba, SC

This shot was taken at Papermill Lock in Danbury, just as we were leaving after a tea and a flapjack (huge).

You can see some movement on the right hand side as my Neice decided to shake the chain.

But this pic still stood out to me and decided to go with it anyway!
