So I have to thank for this first of all Oschene (if you ever read this thank you, thank you, thank you, I loved to fold this zhoubi, the pleasure of folding it alleviated some very hard moments these past days) and then Origami Weekly. Probably the model would have been more precise with dfferent paper but this week had weakened my folds and I needed softer things.

I spent a couple rolls of film at this old abandoned paper mill in my home town before I had to give my brother my SLR for a while.
Unfortunately I made the double mistake of having Sam's Club develop them, and then place them on CD instead of print. They must have some shitty negative scanners.
So some of these will be quite post-processed and grainy. Please, forgive me.
A design*sponge diy project from 2007. I actually bought the card stock for this last year, but didn't get around to making them until this year. This is about as crafty as I get.

Recycled paper chandelier made for a Woodend Artists ACE funded event in Aug 08. The artist ran workshops with local youth groups to make the origami cubes. These were then grouped into colour and suspended by fishing wire from a central frame.

Does everyone trace the design onto the back of the paper? I used vellum once which worked really well since you could see through it. I just wondered how others made sure they laid the fabric down in the right place and then on the other side, sewed it???
To Any Soldier:
Cut from brown parcel paper and detailed with colored sharpies, these unconventional paper people allowed a bit more whimsy in their decoration.
As it stands, real gingerbread cookies would leave crumbs and oil the holiday cards they were eventually packed in.
P.S. These cookies do not contain eggs, nuts, gluten, or dairy.
Naturally, when we went to Vermont, we visited a few covered bridges. We saw this one in Bennington, on Valentine's Day, 2013. With a three-heart metal sculpture in the foreground, what could have been more appropriate? This is the Paper Mill Bridge, aka Paper Mill Village Bridge, Paper Mill Village Covered Bridge, Bennington Falls Covered Bridge.
