Paper mache + acrylic colours

Finished my final exam paper. 5 pages of hell yes.

i didn't do a terribly neat job of him, but i just cut him out with scissors and put him together with a glue stick and tape at work the other day, so didn't have much time to spend. (he was so cute, i couldn't resist!)

I usually store loose individual units for my kusudama on boxes.

The base is spring rain with a layer of orange zest and some doodlebug dsp: boys only. The main image is a cute little robot from paper smooches. I colored him with copics and gave him a balloon to hold. It is layered on hawaiian shores with some twine. The gears are chipboard that I painted with silver and splattered with a choc shimmer spray. One last touch was some crystal effects on the balloon

Woodcut of the head of Eleanor of Aquitaine, taken from her tomb. Printed on to tissue paper and then bonded on to fabric.

Hand lettering on the surface added later. These phrases are from troubadour songs written in her honour

Display at the Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay during Sakura.

The model becomes 3D and this is how it looks from the outside.
