Tara Paper is a recycled handmade paper and paper products unit and follows the ideology of "waste to wealth" and integrates this in every process, product and practice. It was set up in 1996 in Orchha under the sustainable livelihood program for Sahariya Tribal women in Central India
TARA paper is particularly special. It is not only made of recycled and waste materials: it is crafted by the careful hands of highly skilled villagers, most of whom were impoverished women. It creates jobs and incomes while saving the environment.
Me encantan los muñecos de papel. Siempre he querido hacerlos, de hecho tengo un montón de diseños en mi cabeza, nuevos y antiguos, pero no veía el momento de ponerme a ello con tantas ideas que rondan mi loca cabecita. Pero ¡por fin he hecho algunos! Y es muy adictivo y divertidísimo.

I love paper dolls. I´ve been waiting to make them for a long time, in fact I have a million of designs on my mind, new and old, but it never seemed to be the right moment to start because I always have a million ideas floating on my crazy mind. But finally I have made some! It´s really addictive and fun.
This is at the annual Buterfly Show at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland -- a paper kite butterfly, native from the Phillipines to Taiwan and Borneo.
My attempt at reverse engineering Tereza Corsini's Star Tato but it isn't even a tato since the top star is loose.
The tips of the top star coincide exactly with the corners of the bottom hexagon, but the picture makes it look as if they didn't.

I don't have a name for this one, but it's made with 30 pieces of paper I had to use glue to connect it but for the prototype it ended up looking a lot better than this. Next time I should make a bigger model.

This patten is beautifully designed and turned out gorgeous. I was able to piece it within a few hours.
I used varying width strips from the three main fabrics to cut the pieces as I went. Once the sections were done, I found that basting them together with a long stitch to check for alignment was crucial for me. Who wants to pick out tiny stitches on long seams?!!!!
This is the beginning of a pillow that my 7 year old daughter is making with me for a friend of hers' birthday.
