It's been a while since I posted anything. Work has kept me so busy...
The mask is now all nicely trimmed up and ready for the next step in the mask making process.
In the next set of photos you will see how I attach an elastic head band into my masks and the detailing paper maching to get the mask extra strength and an overall cleaner professional finish.

Paper Plant at Rumford Maine along the Androscoggin River down stream from the Rumford Dam. A powerhouse connected by a long penstock from a race to the right of the photo is the red building in the right forground of the paper plant. The water impounded for this power plant is from the dam at the top of the waterfalls directly behind the camera.
Photographed on Kodak Ektar 100 film using a Mamiya 645AF and a Mamiya zoom lens.
A black and white shot of this plant can be found earlier in my photostream.

This is what my family uses for the majority of our paper towel needs. We cut up old shirts that are not good enough to donate and use them in place of paper towels.
These will still last through several more washings.
This is my entry in the PCAGOE March 2009 cane work challenge. This rainstick is made of a paper towel tube, about 200 nails, a handful of rice and several polymer clay canes. All of the colors are hand-mixed using Fimo and Premo polymer clays. The sound is a lovely soft rain sound.
To vote for a favorite entry and have a chance to win prizes, visit pcagoe.com between March 1 and 7, 2009.
