Off-white elephant-hide paper colored with many colors of alcohol soluble dyes. the lively colors and the twisty, curvy folds complement each other, I think.

Two AB800 to left and right of camera pointed away from subject towards the studio walls to get a room full of soft light. Triggered by Yongnuo RF trigger at 1/2 power.
This would be border ver 0.5, cause a 1.0 points would be longer and equivalent to the center point. No idea why I started shaping outside when only half the model is done!! Its 12am, anyway 5 hours later both bottom ends meet & its spacing is perfected (stars can be done both ways too). Whats left now is the top 2 (their placement) and how they interact with rest of the model

From "Origami Polyhedra Design", folded from a square of Arjo Wiggins paper of about 20 x 20 cm, by far the most complex model in the book and the reason why I bought it.
It doesn't hold together that well and that is why it has to be shown this way.
This model ranks among the top cleverest designed models I've ever folded. It uses this technique to make triangles that has been independently discovered by many including me when I did the "Back to back tessellation" but in more than one plane. Models with 5 sides are complicated but if you make them work, the result is pretty good.
