These are some of the fifty (or so) flowers I've made from encyclopedia pages to go along with the altered books in the Forgotten Knowledge series of books. The flowers are part of an exhibition of my work that will be on display at the PNE, called Container Art.
Spent this afternoon working through one of my briefs for my college course. This brief was about High & Low key. This is one of my High Key shots.

Lit from within by a battery-powered LED, a paper "luner lander" prepares to launch its capsule into orbit. I printed, folded and assembled this "papertronics" kit from instructions I found online; I plan to have my students make their own on Tuesday.
A better picture, although i'm not completely satisfied.
The first assignment of the term was to create a 3 dimensional piece using paper.

Bridge Modules: Two Intersecting Tetrahedra 12 units
I have been experimenting with a variety of different edge unit variations recently, and I think this was one of the better ones for edge avoiding(Although I have another good one, I think). The units travel over and under each other, and latch into each other in the process making a sort of "bridge". The resulting model is very sturdy and crisp.

Well, It's finished. I had been wanting to refold this model for a long time, but it was only until this summer that I finally pulled through. This model is hard, no doubts about that. Even the scaleshaping requires a lot of patience and skill to do nicely, and the final shaping is the part that makes or breaks a Ryu Jin. Even though I haven't shaped it perfectly, I think I've done a decent job.
I decided not to go with the half-cp method, mainly because I always enjoy challenges (not to say this model isn't already challenging enough :P). Once the legs were collapsed, it wasn't too difficult to work with though. Speaking of the legs, they were definitely the biggest challenge for me to shape (after the head). There's still lots to work on, but I think I'm going to leave it like this.
And that's it! I don't think I'll be folding this model again for a while. Comments are always appreciated.
Jennifer (Jen's Photography) and I went on a Road Trip up to Madison Wisconsin. From the "Want to do a road trip ?" to getting going took just over 1 hour and we were off. Jen found out about the Olbrich Botanical Gardens and that is where we headed to. They have a very nice grove of paper birch trees just made for this abstract.

Bitcoin paper wallet. You can tip with these notes. Think about that you would like to say "thanks" for a street artist who accepts bitcoins, when you go by on this summer ..
Näppärä tapa antaa vaikka tipiksi bitcoineja katutaiteilijalle, joka tuntee bitcoinit. Siinä kun menet ohi tänä kesänä ..
Vastaanottajan tarvitsee vain importata qr-koodi sisään omalle tilille ja tositaiteilija löytää varmasti netistä virtuaalirahalle käyttökohteita.

Excellent model from every point of view. The CP is gorgeous and the model folds itself. At the end there is no paper that needs to be tucked away or hiden, everything gets used.
