The famous Panther Creek Falls. Words really don’t do this place justice and I’ve not (yet) been to another waterfall like it. It’s a little bit of a hike from Portland, but that’s good since it helps keep the rabble out :) It can also be a bit dangerous getting to the bottom of the falls, so be careful if you decide to go.
This is my first image from here so I decided to go with the classic view.

It's a bit difficult to show the size of this beauty but Panther Creek Falls is gorgeous whether viewing it from afar or up close! Happy Wednesday and happy Autumn to everyone!!!

Panther chameleons (Furcifer pardalis) are one of the most colorful reptiles around! Thanks to their ability to take on a range of vibrant neon hues, these popular lizards are in high-demand in the reptile trade. Originally from the lowlands of northern Madagascar and surrounding islands,

The forests around the Columbia River where it flows between Mt Hood and Mt Adams are just extraordinary. This is a forest scene along Panther Creek (a tributary of the Columbia River).
I want to send a big thank you to Marc Adamus who's generosity and leadership on a recent Oregon/Washington workshop were outstanding.
This is a Panther J72 of 1972. I have taken photos of this one quite often already because the car belongs to a friend of my dad. The J72 was the first car produced by Panther Westwinds, a manufacturer of sports cars based in Surrey, UK.

Re-editing a favorite from the past. This one is a selfie from Panther Creek Falls. Shot in early spring, the curtain of water on the right dies down to a trickle in the summer.

Was able to sneak away for a little waterfall adventure over the weekend and paid a visit to Panther Creek Falls. This falls is just an amazing wall of water engulfed in rich green moss! The powerful mist was refreshing but made it nearly impossible to keep the lens dry.
Santa Cruz Coast, California
We are looking north along the Santa Cruz coast from the bluffs near Panther Beach. The sun set a while ago and we are well into the blue hour.
Guess who's back?! =D
Yup! I have been pulled from the "dark path" by my recent encounter (and joining) of The AZ LUG.
Also it was spring break and what better to do then build? Also also, in my new room has TONS more space so it was a lot easier to build in.
Anyway I wanted to make an animal based robot of some kind had and what more BA than a panther?! ( I love cats ) Had a great time building this and learned many new techniques and ideas. The tail is one of my favorite parts and is quite stable/flexible.
Was making some orders this morning for my next project and Austin reminded me to render this Panther proto that I finished last week. The Panther body is a combo of KingTiger's/Jeff's/LFL's Panther hulls. I wanted my first attempt to be a lil different. I remembered L4L showing off his V-IV a lil while back, so I wanted to give that one a go. I modded my old PA Pzr IV turret to fit properly on the hull and then added the turret armor. I can never remember how to spell the German name for the armor. :) Like most of my models, it is probably a lil overkill as far as strength and structure goes. So it is a lil lacking in fine details. But I like it. My collection of tanks is still growing. I want to eventually build this in some kind of camo. But the train is coming first. :)
Credit to KT, Jeff, L4L, and PA for the assist in building this Panther.
The most unique and interesting waterfall in the Columbia river gorge. This horseshoe section of the falls is almost a 30ft drop.

I met a Panther at this creek. He accepted my challenge. And I claimed his throne.
haha I had fun walking to the edge of this slippery log. My friend Mara was kind enough to wipe my lens and pull the trigger!

Okay, so here is what I am going with, for now. I have everything built in the brick except the parts in red. I like the turret, for now. I probably will try and build a "pretty" turret later. But this one looks decent and does not come apart when Tristan plays with it. :)
Like I said before, this Panther is a combo of several builders and my Panther designs. :)
If someone asked me the question "What is your favourite fungus species?" I would be hard pushed and probably answer with my top five! But if I think about it would have to be a perfect copper capped Amanita pantherina. The problem this year is any fungus brave enough to put it's head over the parapet is immediately munched by slugs! Great year for gastropoda not so good for basidiomycota! But here is an immature Panther Cap, not perfect but looking splendid in the Autumnal light.
By the way, here is my top five fabulous fungus pop pickers:
At number five - Porcelain Fungus
Then at number four - Coral Fungus
Number three - Fly Agaric
At Number two - Magpie Inkcap
And at number one, the stunning Panther Cap
It's been really hot here in the Bay Area recently, so what better to do than head to the beach?
This is from Panther Beach, a little north of Santa Cruz, CA.
Lower Panther is a spectacular water fall surrounded by lush moss and gorgeous turquoise water, It's just not as accessible or known as Upper Panther, so it seems to get left out of most people portfolios.
(Puma concolor coryi) Once common throughout the southeastern United States, fewer than 100 Florida panthers are estimated to live in the wilds of south Florida today. The current range of Florida panthers is less than five percent of their original range across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and parts of Tennessee and South Carolina. Florida panthers were heavily hunted after 1832 when a bounty on panthers was created. Perceived as a threat to humans, livestock, and game animals, the species was nearly extinct by the mid-1950s.
Today, the primary threats to the remaining panther population are habitat loss, fragmentation, and degradation. Urban sprawl, the conversion of once-diversified agricultural lands into intensified industrial farming uses, and the loss of farmland to commercial development combine to reduce the amount of suitable panther habitat. Other factors include mortalities from collisions with automobiles, territorial disputes with other panthers, inbreeding, disease, and environmental toxins. All these other factors, however, also are related to habitat reduction.
So a week ago was my 16th Birthday, and that means only one thing: MONEY!!! :P So I bought a bunch of new sets, inlcuding the Red Hood set, the Ra's set and the Doctor Strange set (dat Dr Strange <3). So I was playing around with a couple of different designs using some of the new parts and this came out.
Overall I'm quite proud of this design. Wasn't sure about the head-hair combo, but I think it turned out quite well...?! I'll let you guys judge that. :P
On a different note, you guys can expect a Winter Soldier up end of this week/beginning of next, I've written a bunch of issues, just need to finish building scenes and such. I'm also seing Suicide Squad on Tuesday (I know it's been out for a few days, but I'm just too lazy :P) so I'll upload a review of that too (plz be wrong Rotten Tomatoes, pleaseeeee). Anyway...Hope you like this figure, I quite like it, but whatever. ;)
