What's behind the full height door on the new Panthers? A set of pull-out steps.

Panther Creek Falls in the winter.

This waterfall is one of the hidden jewels of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington State. Unless you know exactly where the falls are, it is very, very easy to just drive right past the falls without even noticing them.

I highly recommend a visit to these falls if you are in the area.

Directions: There is a nice trail to an observation platform overlooking Panther Creek falls but upon my visit in Feb, 2015 there is no signage to mark anything. The parking area near the trail down can be found at the following GPS coordinates:

45° 52.043'N

121° 49.584'W

The closest city is Carson, Washington.

More information and directions to the falls can also be found at: www.waterfallsnorthwest.com/nws/falls.php?num=5248

Good Luck!!!

This Panther 8x8 Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicle is at the top of the food chain. A new original design, it uses several SNOT (Studs Not On Top) techniques. The rig includes Lego flashing light features with battery box connected to lights on the front and back on top of the rig.

The PANTHER is the flagship of the Rosenbauer airport vehicle fleet. It carries 3,830 gallons of fire extinguishing agents and a maximum speed of 87 mph (140 km/h).

Sometime beauty comes out of the dark.

I shot a small section of the falls rather than trying to shoot the whole falls and surrounding area like I normally do. This is a difficult waterfall to photograph given how beautiful the area is. And it definitely ranks right up there with Proxy falls in my opinion.

Manyfires photo and 'rank' of the falls got me out there today.

Panther Creek Falls is a stunning waterfall located in the state of Georgia, USA. It is situated in the Chattahoochee National Forest within Rabun County, in the northeastern part of the state. The falls are renowned for their natural beauty and are a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts. Here is a brief history and overview of Panther Creek Falls:

Geological Formation: Panther Creek Falls is a product of the geological features of the region. The falls are created by Panther Creek, a tributary of the Tallulah River, cascading over a series of rock formations and cliffs. The result is a picturesque waterfall that drops approximately 40 feet into a crystal-clear pool.

Native American Presence: The area around Panther Creek Falls has a long history of Native American presence. Cherokee Indians once inhabited the region, and their legacy is still felt in the names of many places, including the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Conservation Efforts: The establishment of the Chattahoochee National Forest and the preservation of the Panther Creek Falls area have been essential for its continued natural beauty and accessibility to the public. The forest was designated as a national forest in 1936, and it has since been managed to protect its natural resources, including waterfalls like Panther Creek Falls.

Hiking Trails: Panther Creek Falls can be reached via a popular hiking trail that runs along Panther Creek. The trail is approximately 7 miles round trip and offers visitors the opportunity to experience the lush forest, rocky terrain, and eventually, the breathtaking waterfall. Hikers can access the falls year-round, but the best times to visit are during the spring and after heavy rainfall when the water flow is at its peak.

Recreation and Photography: Panther Creek Falls has become a favorite spot for photographers and outdoor enthusiasts. The picturesque setting with its cascading water, moss-covered rocks, and dense forest provides ample opportunities for capturing stunning images and enjoying the natural beauty of the area.

Popular Destination: Over the years, Panther Creek Falls has gained popularity, and its accessibility from major cities like Atlanta has made it a sought-after destination for day hikes and weekend getaways.

It's important to note that while Panther Creek Falls is a beautiful and popular natural attraction, visitors should practice Leave No Trace principles and respect the environment to ensure its preservation for future generations. These principles include packing out all trash, staying on designated trails, and minimizing human impact on the area's delicate ecosystems.

What else do you do with a pair of sad Corgi diecasts?

This Panther Triaxle was created from a standard 12M OOC Panther and Paragon which had both seen better days.

I've found it

a bit of a pain to do, certainly when compared with the recent Van Hool one, with extensions needed to both wheelbase and rear overhang, and a real problem keeping everything 'square' and true. But has eventually turned out ok.

Could be a long time before I attempt another one of these!

The Panther Ausf. F was the last development in the Panther series of tanks.

The key feature of the Panther F was to be the newly-designed 'Schmalturm', which was intended to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle, as well as streamline production.

The Panther F never reached mass production.

From a single uncut square of black elephant hide paper. Based on an original created in 1975. This version has more distinct ears and the back is not open, although there are layers or seams. In the original the legs and head were oriented in reverse resulting in an open back. The base uses blintzing which I was into around that era.

Transferred to Bluebird for the 35, this Panther was much older than the 09 plates that came with it and had a much harder life having started as a National Express coach.

No surprise then that it has been cascaded fairly quickly to Banchory for the more idilic Banchory Academy run with the added Wednesday jaunt to Aberdeen on the Asda Bridge of Dee contract.

Seen here leaving Asda for Lumphanan via Westhill.
