The "Deck Gun" on the the "HMCS Charlottetown" is a 57mm 70 mk2 gun from Bofors. The gun is capable of firing 2.4kg shells at a rate of 220 rounds a minute to a range of more than 17km(10.2 miles).
This was the last photo taken on a trip to Nitinat lake on Vancouver Island with UBC windsurfers.
Packing up was augmented with beer and general helarity and therefore took a very long time. We brought an impressing amount of stuff with us.
We drove for an hour along a logging track to get there and had to take everything with us. The locals would sell you windsurfing spares, but we had to bring water!

Even though I do ALL the packing around here, my extreme bitchiess and tendency to order him around a lot while doing so seems to exhaust Wes. Here you can see what happened when he, just for a moment, disobeyed me and took his new "Nap" airplane pillow out of its case. He then discovered its cute and extremely soft matching eyemask and there's not many things my honey loves more than a good eyemask. He decided to lay down on the floor and test it out and it was all I could do to make him get back to work.
