On Monday, Jim and I drove from The Desmond Hotel in Albany, New York to the Adirondack Mountains. Our first sightseeing opportunity was Prospect Mountain--very close to Lake George Village. It's supposed to be high enough for a 100 mile view. Unfortunately, it was very hazy the day that we drove up the mountain.
We parked in the lot and took the shuttle to the summit.
We drove down this road randomly and saw this--then found out you can stay here OVERNIGHT for ghost hunts. We're SO going back!

Prospect Harbor Lighthouse located in Prospect Harbor, Maine. You can get there from from Route 186 or 195 off Rt 1. The light is on an active duty US Navy site so is in excellent condition overall. You can't get upclose and personnel like some lights though but still close enoough to get good pics with little zoom.
Bill Henry was nice enough to bring in this photo, which is from the 1970's, of the Prospect Wheelmen racing team. Do you recognize any of these boys?
Foundation stone 4 Apr 1914 by Sir Samuel Way, opened 17 Aug 1914, sold 2011, now private.
“On July 1, 1910, a private meeting of 12 brethren took place in this town at which it was decided to form a lodge, to be called the Prospect Lodge. . . the Lieutenant-Governor (Sir Samuel Way), who on Saturday afternoon, in the capacity of Grand Master of the South Australian Constitution of Freemasonry, laid the foundation stone of the new Masonic Temple being erected in Bullcr street. Prospect.” [The Journal 6 Apr 1914]
“All the exterior walls of the temple will be of freestone, and the front elevation, of dressed stone with brick quoins and cement dressing. The ceilings to the entrance hall and lodgeroom will be of fibrous plaster, in suitable designs.” [Advertiser 6 Apr 1914]
