November 22, 2007 was a particularly warm Thanksgiving Day, with trees in their peak colors.

Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NYC. I never wanted to come to New York, but my son is in school here, so here I am. More fun than I expected

The water was so still at Prospect yesterday evening, making for the perfect reflections, even if it was low tide.

Prospect is a Canadian coastal community on the Chebucto Peninsula in Nova Scotia's Halifax Regional Municipality.

It borders the Atlantic Ocean approximately 23 kilometers southwest of Halifax off the Prospect Bay Road.

And might I say it is stunning. And for those of you who don't know I am completely in love with Nova Scotia!

Just want to take this time to say that I am sorry but my web time is very limited at the moment, so my visits and comments may not be as frequent and regular as they were.

I took this shot with my old Kodak point and shoot camera (long before I use dslr). This image reminds me that I was always a sucker for photography.

And also reminds most of us that you don't need to spend thousands to get a good sharp photo.

Now I know you all recognise this place! This is one from a new series of images I took recently there. For more of this gorgeous place visit my Prospect and Terence Bay Set:

Prospect Cottage is a house on the coast in Dungeness, Kent. Originally a Victorian fisherman's hut, the house was purchased by director and artist Derek Jarman in 1986, and was his home until his death in 1994

Busy old fool, unruly Sun,

Why dost thou thus,

Through windows, and through curtains, call on us ?

Must to thy motions lovers' seasons run ?

Saucy pedantic wretch, go chide

Late school-boys and sour prentices,

Go tell court-huntsmen that the king will ride,

Call country ants to harvest offices ;

Love, all alike, no season knows nor clime,

Nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time.

In that the world's contracted thus ;

Thine age asks ease, and since thy duties be

To warm the world, that's done in warming us.

Shine here to us, and thou art everywhere ;

This bed thy center is, these walls thy sphere

This poem by John Donne is engraved on the end of the house and always brings a smile to my face when I see it and sit and read it

Former Shell Gas Station located at 1390 Prospect Ave. in Hollister,CA. The gasoline is now branded under the Chevron name. Judging by the looks of the canopies I believe that the switch to Chevron took place quite a few years ago.

Took this while leaving the village and heading towards the location for the hike I was going on.

The small community of Prospect on the atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. Most of the homes in the village have remained in the same families for generations.

There are no churches in Prospect since the closing of "Our Lady of Mt. Camel" which is now up for sale.

So many churches are being sold in all the communities, even in the cities. Maybe a project would be to make a book of them before they are gone - just a thought.

Green heron - - - - - - ( Butorides virescens.)

A small, stocky wading bird, the Green Heron is common in wet spots across much of North America. It can be difficult to see as it stands motionless waiting for small fish to approach within striking range, but it frequently announces its presence by its loud squawking

The Green Heron is part of a complex of small herons that sometimes are considered one species. When lumped, they are called Green-backed Heron. When split, they are the Green Heron, the widespread Striated Heron, and the Galapagos Heron.
