This Western Lowland Silverback male Gorilla (named Jasiri) displays his long strong Popeye-like arms. Quite impressive muscles on this male - he must be “strong to the finich ‘cause he eats his spinach”. Admired at the Calgary Zoo (2024).

This 13 inch fish is not from around these parts. The nocturnal Popeye Catalufa is found in the Pacific Ocean from California to Peru. It's also found in the Denver Aquarium, which is where I saw it : )

Il Popeye Village è un gruppo di rustici e sgangherati edifici in legno situato nella baia di Anchor a Malta. E' stato il set cinematografico del film Popeye-Braccio di Ferro, prodotto dalla Paramount e dalla Walt Disney e interpretato da Robin Williams. Oggi questo villaggio è aperto al pubblico come un museo a cielo aperto e come complesso di intrattenimento per famiglie.

Popeye is painted upon the doorway down a back alley in Vancity.

The low evening sun has caught a wood pigeon and a collared dove in full alert mode and their eyes are nearly popping out of their heads. I do love the wood pigeons spiky hairstyle !

The first tv programme that l saw was when l was four was Popeye the sailor man. The tv was a large wooden cabinet with a 7 inch screen and in black and white.
