Popeye just love his new bone, never get tired of it...

Trying out my new Nikon D3000

Shot this photo at a market and farm stand on the eastern part of Long Island's north shore.

Emma's Popeye Imitation

This is Emma's imitation of Popeye. She squints and puckers.

I wish I could have caught her with the pretzel in her mouth that she uses as a pipe.

Popeye Village, Malta

I saw a McDonald's sign elsewhere in the city which was just a skeleton — hollow arches and holes where the word Mcdonalds should be. Fast food is hard to find in Nola

The Kodacolor II seems to have held up pretty well for being who knows how old, but this one was very darkbefore I fiddled with the scanner settings.

Can't say I ever played that.

It is incredible how popular he was early on.

Popeye The Sailor at Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre

This pug kept trying to steal my turkey sandwich at Dolores Park last Saturday. His name was Popeye.

Toy Photography 101...Ah, Popeye the Sailor Man! The spinach-guzzling, pipe-tooting icon, alongside Olive Oyl, the original drama queen, and Bluto, the poster boy for bad manners. Kids today? Stuck with unboxing videos games and Snapchat they’ve no idea what they’re missing.

Popeye taught us spinach was rocket fuel for epic brawls, Olive brought the love triangle chaos, and Bluto? Always scheming, always losing. Classic cartoon gold. So, kids of today, trade TikTok for a toon where a scrappy sailor smashes a brute with nothing but veggies and guts. Toot toot!...📱👍😎

Day 99...gloriously hot today and my son takes a visit to the ice-cream van. The name of this concoction is "popeye" - an ice-lolly squidged in a 99 cone. Just so happens he's squinting at the same time which makes him like Popeye too :P
