An old fisher man of Qingdao, smoking his pipe, awaiting for a fish ready to be catch out. He was having several fishing rods to maximise his fishing day.
I see a lot of shots of Gaston's statue at the Magic Kingdom but never see any of the great philosopher Popeye at Universal!!! "I yam what I yam and tha's all what I yam" words to live by!!
A senior greek citizen was enjoying himself in the sunshine that day on the port of Aegina.
He looked to me to be Popeye preparing to set sail, I know I sometimes have a very cartoonish imagination but I did enjoy taking this photo.
Popeyed performing at the AIB Street Performance Word Championships in Merrion Square, Dublin on Saturday 16th June 2007.
Sharing some shots of the custom figures we entered into Toycon & POSK's Custom Figure Contests.
We were fortunate enough to get First Prize for Skeletor and 2nd Prize for Olive Oyl in two different custom figure contest categories. While He-Man and our Castle Grayskull received another First Prize Award for the Diorama Contest.
It was truly a remarkable day and experience for us and we can't thank everyone enough for all the kind words and comments we've been getting the past couple of days.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to all the contest organizers, judges, and convention viewers who have given us heartfelt appreciation for the work that we put into our customs.
We've received a number of inquiries for He-man and Skeletor and we are considering doing a limited run for private commission. If interested you may direct your inquiries via email at geewhizcustoms@gmail.com
Thanks for viewing!

Ad to purchase a pattern to make Popeye, Olive Oyl, and Swee'pea soft doll toys.
This ad was on the back of an envelope that I received from Parade Magazine when I ordered another pattern from them. I think it's from the 70's.
This is Popeye from 'Britain's got talent' fame. He came to The Unity centre in Lowestoft to support the EP launch of local singer/songwriter Tom Tonks. Popeye's brother can do the eye popping thing as well, probably more extreme than Popeye but he can't 'pop' his eyes to music. Apparently he clenches the muscles behind the eye ball resulting in the 'pop'. Nice!
My dad and I went to this knick nack store that was going out of business and as we were leaving dad showed me Popeye and I said I wanted it.
lol, he was $500. He still would've been an arm and a leg 70% off.
The picture is all "glarey" because I wanted my dad in the shot too.
