I'm seeing red!
Got my rose-colored glasses on.
You wouldn't believe the day I had!
"What happened to your eye?!"
"Have you been smoking?"
"Did Joe do that?!"
"Does that hurt?"
"Did she get in trouble?"
"Did you see a doctor?"
Never a dull moment...

89 years ago today on July 14, 1933, Paramount Pictures and the Fleischer Studios introduced Popeye the Sailor in a Betty Boop Cartoon. He passed his screen test with flying colors and by late September of that year, he was starring in his own series of animated shorts, beginning with I Yam What I Yam. His theatrical run of 231 cartoons thrilled movie-goers for 24 years.
Cover and interior art by Pierluigi Sangalli (pencils) and Sandro Dossi (inks), reprinted from Braccio di Ferro issue 10 (1965), and a Beetle Bailey story drawn by Frank Johnson.
i've been craving Popeye's fried chicken for a while now; just never got around to getting it. i woke up this morning with this mission in mind. that's a 3-piece spicy, biscuit, cajun rice, and pickled jalapeno peppers... BONAFIDE COMBO!
