Pip taking a break from Billy. Now that he's allowed to go out into the garden she has a choice. She can be in the garden together with him or she can take a nap in her warm, beloved windowsill. When she really wants to get away from it all she jumps onto the roof of our bicycle shed. It'll take quite a bit of time before Billy will be able to do this.

Our Pip's been having issues lately with his leg and he developed epilepsy last year... and he's not even 7? =(

Just another in box auction photo of my sweet Pip and she may be in her box but she asked me to post another photo and show everyone her lovely blushy cheeks......I told you she's got character....hehehehe <3

broken pipe in ground in copenhagen

An evening playing dress up

We're at this union kick-off-the-year-bbq-type thing last fall, and Pip is eating hot dogs, burgers, any meat he can stick in his cute little hands (see the beef stuck under his fingernail?)--he's a total carnivore, I swear--then he takes off with two hot dogs in his hands and makes a bee line for the playset by the lake. We spent at least an hour there climbing the slide, jumping off the ramps, the steps, screaming at the birds, and generally laughing at each other playing peek-a-boo.

Then I take him home and he sings la la la all the way home. Really sweet memory.

Wonderful Pip of "Layla 'n Pip", who has a sweet disposition and rugged good looks. I have a crush on him. :-)

First pip of 2016-17 season

Pip was lit by one Godox AD360 to camera right fitted with a 24 x 24 soft box.

Enjoying a warm summer day on the fence.

Spider-Pip, Spider-Pip,

A superhero you should skip

Eats burgers, and some fries,

No he doesn’t actually eat flies

I doubt,

You’d get saved by Spider-Pip.

Is he strong?

Not quite,

He loses every fight.

Can he swing from a thread?

If he did that, he’d be dead

Hey, where

Where is Spider-Pip?

There’s something not right

With this spidery guy

He has bad eyesight

He can’t stop all the crime!

Spider-Pip, Spider-Pip

Really misunderstood Spider-Pip

Weird and lame

Just ignored

He really is abhorred.

This guy, could really use some back-up

Or else he’ll get banged up

No-one likes Spider-Pip.

(I was bored, okay...)

Pip pip, 20x30cm mixed media on canvas (acrylic paint and charcoal)

As far as Pip is concerned, sticks are to be shown off. Best to prance around, waving the stick in the air, trying to incite jealosy in other dogs (say a snotty big sister?) since his stick is better.

my bottled rainbow red quilt block layout! They aren't sewn down yet, I'm debating still on how to tack them down and with what color thread.......

That's the sound of a broad-tail hummingbird trying to chase off an intruder, usually another male hummingbird. Here he goes...

Still in the rough stages, but not bad for day 8! (At only about an hour a day) At least the face is mostly done...

in Marriot Bar in Leeds with Pip and Lyn make up done on all of us by Gordon he is an amazing make up artist and a great guy.

Hello "52 Weeks for Dogs" friends, meet Pippin, an exceptionally handsome blue standard poodle (okay, I may be a bit biased here).

If Pip looks a bit dubious about being this year's subject, it's probably because I hadn't informed him that some extra grooming might be involved. Not to worry, Pip, I'm not going to shave your face for every week's shot ... this week it was about making a good impression.

Pip is a tougher subject than Layla was last year -- his natural inclination is to be a bit of a velcro dog, which makes him hard to photograph. He does have a good stay, but when I put him on a stay and move away from him he has to concentrate so hard on being a good dog that I lose his natural animation and personality. He is also one to look away when I disappear behind the camera, so I have a feeling I may have to develop a knack for "shooting from the hip" with him.

I was able to get this portrait of him by holding a treat just above the camera. Yes, he was on a stay, hence the serious expression. When the treats came out Layla tried to make a case for continuing her reign as 52 weeks subject (I have to admit, she worked for free last year), but we compromised. Pip will be paid for looking at the camera, and Layla will be paid for staying out of the way.

I would have liked to have used a smaller aperture to get Pip's entire face in focus, but just didn't have enough light to do it -- in fact, I'm surprised this shot even remotely came out with such a slow shutter speed (though it was part of a burst, so no camera shake)

LN-PIP - McDonnell Douglas DC-8-33 - Chikko-Dan (Grand Investment)

at Kopenhagen Kastrup Airport (CPH) in 1984

c/n 45.256 - built in 1959 for Pan American - operated until 1968

converted to freighter (without cargo-door) in 1993

Was intended to fly day-old chickens by a company called "Chikko-dan". After only 1 flight in 12/1983 the company suspended operations. SAS bought the aircraft in 1984 and removed all useable parts and put the aircraft in open storage - later used for tug-driving and towing training -

still in use as a fire-trainer at CPH - seen still at Kastrup South fire dump May 12-2022 (without engines)

Lately he developed the habit of sneaking into other people's houses... bad boy! ;)

Made using the inspiration from this quilt: www.flickr.com/photos/bluecottage/5741463230/in/faves-379...
