`sunset from a few weeks ago

Pier there at Lake Champlain.

Captured from the Sandgate promenade at low tide. Beyond the pier, the Brisbane grain wharf can just be seen. It is also in this locale that the larger cruise ships berth, as they can't get under the Gateway Bridge. Meanwhile, a new wharf is under construction.

White Rock Lake - Dallas, Texas

Manhattan Pier, Manhattan Beach, California.

Took this shot duing my trip to Southern California. Sky was kind of plain at sunset but this there was lot of water wave action around the pier.. Went under the pier, setup tripod and made several attempts to get the right shot.

I went to the lake at sunset tonight to test the Canon G9. I wanted to see if it could be my walk around camera and to take on my motorcycle. I think it meant the test but certainly won't replace my Canon DSLR.

Summer night at Nesna pier. Quite a psychedelic spectacle.

Happy Bench Monday ... may it be bright like this sunset was ;)

The Brighton Marine Palace & Pier, known as the Palace Pier, (in foreground) opened in May 1899 and is now Brighton's only usable pier, it is 524 metres long. The West Pier was built in 1866 It has been closed since 1975, although after several fires in 2003 little other than the metal framework (seen in the background here) is now left in situ. The original Brighton Pier, the Royal Suspension Chain Pier, built in 1823 was destroyed in a storm in 1896 however the signal cannon can still be seen on the Palace Pier and the entrance Kiosks are still intact, and are now used as small shops on the Palace Pier. The remains of some of the pier's oak piles, sunk ten feet into bedrock, can still be seen at the most extreme low tides.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, comment, fave or invite. I really appreciate them all.

Drone photo taken in January between a couple of rainstorms. It's now mid March and we're awaiting yet another rainstorm.

Retirement has been really good for my photography hobby. I've always taken lots of photos on my "Photo Expeditions" and always have a lot of unprocessed images in my photo folders for those times when I'm not "out and about" but still want to process and post new images to social media.

I've now been retired for nearly a quarter of a year, and haven't processed nor posted many local images, nor even scratched the surface of the photos I took while in Utah and Arizona in early February.

So I'm lovin' it. Taking every opportunity I can both locally and on trips to exercise my "photoholism". LOL. Speaking of trips, I leave for Maui and Kauai on March 19th and am really looking forward to this trip. I'll be on Maui for five nights and Kauai for four nights. I've never been to Hawaii so this trip will really be special.

Sidney Pier in Beautiful Sidney by the Sea , Vancouver Island B.C.

The very last shot I took during my excursion to Punggol Beach. It yielded such nice results that I went back a couple of days later, once again filling my memory card with landscape sunsets.

This is the pier where everyone likes to stand around and take pictures with their point-and-clicks. For some reason, the all used flash? I always find it amusing how people think flash works even when there's nothing for the light to bounce off from.

I first shot this pier in the rain, but then came back in the early morning for a better shot

Sunset view from under one of the piers there in Middle River.

A morning walk at the White Rock pier. It looks blustery, but I had an excellent walk. Relatively warm, and because of our return to Standard time, the sun is an hour higher in the sky than it was before when I take my walk.

Venice Florida fishing pier

My photo was used in Venice Magazine here venicemagazineonline.com/photo-week-venice-pier/

Extending the shutter here just a little helps with the reflection on the mostly calm river, smoothing out the ripples just enough.

The colors in the sky were pretty neat at this time too.
