Stirling
Beautiful village in the Adelaide Hills
Located only 18 km from Adelaide via the South Eastern Freeway, Stirling is a village and district of extraordinary charm. In many ways it captures the essence of the Adelaide Hills. Being quite unlike the typical Australian town it is middle class in temper, European in vegetation, and Mediterranean in its ambience.
The township came into existence as a very conscious act of real estate selling. In 1854 Peter Prankerd, a close friend of the South Australian politician, Edward Stirling, laid out the town (he named it after his friend) and on 27 February, 1854 the firm of Samson, Wicksteed & Co auctioned the lots with the advertisement that the area 'approximated to the spring temperature of our native land'.
At the time Stirling had natural advantages as the area around it was ideal for market gardening and orchards and the route running through the village was the main road through the Adelaide Hills.
Today Stirling is by-passed by the South Eastern Freeway. Consequently it has been left as a delightful, elegant small village in the hills
My dad moved with his mom and new stepfather to Santa Fe in 1933, when he was nine. Eventually they moved into this house, on Don Gaspar, about a mile south of the Capital. At the time, it was the southernmost house in Santa Fe. According to him, he could see all the way to Albuquerque.
My dad was lucky~
My grandfather didn't believe in owning things, especially real estate. So he never bought this house, and, eventually the Reeds didn't live there, anymore.
The house is still there. The last time I drove by, about four years ago, it was the least fixed-up house in what is probably a multi-million dollar neighborhood. I always wanted to get it back, but not so much, anymore. Still, something in me really loves this house. It's a beautiful house.
Scanned from one of many old tiny but exquisite black and white photos that somebody in my family took. I'm slowly contemplating the idea of rescanning this photo at a higher resolution and digitally editing it very carefully, something I didn't do when I did these the first time.
Today (Monday, November 30, 2009), is the second anniversay of my dad's passing. I decided to honor him a litte bit over the next few months by fixing up and sharing some photos of his extremely interesting life.

Pada hari Sabtu, 07 Agustus 2010, Sekolah Tinggi Perikanan melantik 327 wisudawan dari enam program studi, yakni Teknologi Penangkapan Ikan, Permesinan Perikanan, Teknologi Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan, Akuakultur, Teknologi Pengelolaan Sumberdaya Perairan, dan Penyuluhan Perikanan.
Ketua STP, Dr. Aef Permadi, S.Pi, M.Si menyebutkan bahwa hingga sekarang STP telah menghasilkan 7749 lulusan yang bekerja di dalam maupun luar negeri. Di antara Sarjana Sains Terapan Perikanan yang diwisuda rencananya akan direkrut oleh perusahaan-perusahaan perikanan, seperti PT Ocean Mitramas dan PT Marindo. Saat ini STP membuka enam program studi yaitu Teknologi Penangkapan Ikan (TPI), Permesinan Perikanan (MP), Teknologi Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan (TPH), Teknologi Akuakultur (TAK), Teknologi Pengelolaan Sumberdaya Perairan (TPS), dan Penyuluhan Perikanan (PP) bagi para taruna yang berasal dari lulusan Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkat Atas baik umum maupun kejuruan, termasuk yang telah menjadi Pegawai Negeri Sipil. Biaya selama pendidikan, seperti asrama, konsumsi, perkuliahan, dan praktikum, sebagian besar ditanggung oleh Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan.

Capsicum annuum es el nombre científico de una solanácea nativa de América. Se conoce con los nombres de chile (nahuatlismo de chilli), ají y pimiento. El pimentón es la pulverización del pimiento seco.
Esta especie es cultivada mundialmente, siendo originaria de Mesoamérica, donde fue domesticada y donde se encuentran variedades silvestres, como la conocida popularmente con el nombre de chiltepín, chile soltero o chile loco.
Es una especie del género Capsicum y muestra una piel de diferentes colores: rojo, verde, amarillo, púrpura, etc. A pesar de ser una sola especie, el C. annuum tiene cientos de formas, con una variedad de nombres, incluso dentro de un mismo idioma. Sus características son variadas, de tamaños pequeños a grandes, de dulces a agrios, y de muy picantes a sosos.
Características
La planta puede ser anual, bianual, o vivir varios años. Posee una tallo lleno de ramas y ésta alcanza los 0,5–1,5 m. Sus flores son blancas y los frutos pueden variar de color dependiendo del grado de madurez en el que se encuentren; incluso algunas variedades suelen comerse cuando el fruto está aún inmaduro.
Mientras que la especie puede tolerar la mayoría de los climas, es especialmente productiva en zonas cálidas y climas secos.
Se trata de una planta de cultivo extendido por todo el mundo, es considerada una planta de huerta y generalmente se suele comercializar en diferentes colores: verde, rojo y amarillo. Dentro de esta especie se pueden encontrar numerosas variedades, generadas por diferencias en el clima, las condiciones del suelo, etc.
Dentro de las variedades más populares, podemos encontrar: * Morrón o ají morrón* Jalapeño.
Usos
Se emplea frecuentemente en la cocina, asados, cocidos, preparados al horno, etc. En el este y el sur de Asia se consumen frecuentemente y forman parte principal de su cultivo. En algunos lugares se emplea como medicina.
Principios activos: contiene capsaicina, esencia, carotenos, capsorrubina, luteína, cobre, vitamina C.
Indicaciones: es antihemorroidal (en baja concentración), antirreumático, aperitivo, revulsivo, rubefaciente, estíptico, afrodisíaco, estomacal, carminativo. La elevada cantidad de vitamina C que contiene se pierde durante la desecación.

Cercis siliquastrum, commonly known as Judas Tree, is a small deciduous tree from Southern Europe and Western Asia which is noted for its prolific display of deep-pink flowers in spring. In Spain is also know as "love tree" beause the pink colour of its flowers and the heart shape of its leafs.
The species is native to Western Asia, including Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey and Southern Europe including Albania, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy and Yugoslavia.
There is a longstanding myth that Judas Iscariot hanged himself from a tree of this species. This belief is related to the common name "Judas Tree" which is possibly a corrupted derivation from the French common name, Arbre de Judée meaning tree of Judea, referring to a region where the tree occurs.

CASTELLANO
El Cercis siliquastrum es una especie de la familia de las leguminosas Fabaceae. Es nativo de la zona mediterránea, en el sur de Europa y suroeste de Asia, está presente en España, sur de Francia, Italia, Grecia y Asia Menor.
Las flores son hermafroditas, con una corola papilionácea de color rosa-lila. Son de 1-2 cm de longitud y se agrupan en racimos de 3-6 flores. Se encuentran reunidas en racimos que aparecen antes que las hojas, en marzo-abril sobre las ramas donde antes había hojas, lo cual es una característica de esta especie, es cauliflora, las flores pueden salir directamente de la corteza de las ramas y el tronco. El nombre común en castellano de árbol del amor viene del color rosa de sus flores y de la forma de corazón de las hojas.
Su llegada a Europa tuvo lugar en la época de las cruzadas (año 1200) y su primer destino fue Francia. Desde ese momento su extensión por el continente fue muy rápida. Apareció frecuentemente en los herbarios del sigo XVI y XVII.
Se dice que de este pequeño y poco ramificado árbol se ahorcó Judas Iscariote después de traicionar a Cristo, por ello se le da el nombre de árbol de Judéa o de Judas. Aún qué en la biblia se dice que de un higuero.

e no outro dia a Belinha foi no portão o portão estava
aberto e ela saio para fora foi la e lambeu o veneno de rato

This labourer (I believe him to be a city counsil labourer) was brushing up this plot of land with a broom with hard bristles.I did not get the point of it exactly, but there must have been some purpose to it.
The plot of land had been full of rubble.It had become a dumping site for peoples wastage and you know how people are don't you ;-) ?? Put one plastic bag filled with garbage somewhere on an empty spot that's miles away from civilization and not long before you know it, it becomes a dumping site !
Then these guys come along to clean it all up again.Talking 'bout economic progress hu.

En verano se cometen tanta tropelías contra el estilo, que me gusta cuando me encuentro un look refinado y con clase como el que abre el post. Un delicado vestido de noche, negro, con tirantes, largo y con encaje, para lucirlo de día incluso cuando hace calor. Todo cambia si le añadimos unas sandalias tipo gladiador y un look de belleza sencillo, con el pelo suelto y apenas maquillaje.
Si queremos imitar el femenino look de Tuula Vintage todavía estamos a tiempo de encontrar en rebajas algún vestido de tirantes tan bonito como el suyo. En Mango tienes un vestido largo rojo con pequeños volantes a un precio de 24,99 euros, y un vestido blanco con estampado romántico por 29,99 euros.
También en H&M puedes encontrar algo parecido al vestido de Tuula, como este vestido azul oscuro con tirantes y espalda escotada que llega hasta los tobillos y cuesta solo 14,99 euros.

D'autres manifestations ont eu lieu dans de grandes villes françaises.

The User Management System implements user profile management and classification for an organized management of the network.
Built with Codeigniter 3.x with HMVC architecture, the UMS provides a safe and secured user registration and login. With features like password reset, Avatar and logo upload, it makes personalization and profile creation easy and secure.

I feel something

EL NOMBRE DE NAVIDAD
Bajo el nombre de Navidad
siento algo
que yo no sé muy bien cómo tengo que decir.
Me hace pensar en una tierra nueva
donde paz y amor no paran de florecer ...
Y no importa, si surgió la estrella
y señala la ruta
a tres reyes de Oriente, cruzando el cielo ...
Y no importa,
saber si eran muchos los pastores
llevando queso y miel al Establecía ...
Y no importa,
ver que cuelgan ricas brillos
aquí y allá,
en muestra de alegría ...
Siento que hay algo grande, al fondo de todo.
Para definirla no encuentro ninguna palabra!
Debe ser una fuerza que conseguiría
que no haya en la tierra
ningún país sin amor
ni ningún hogar sin pan!
El dulce nombre de la Navidad nos da pistas ...
Si la fuerza existe,
debemos encontrar!
