Aunque no sean artistas.

Went to Vestmannaeyjar last Friday and stayed there over the over the Weekend.

Vestmannaeyjar are an small archipelago just few km from the south shore of Iceland. People have lived in Vestmannaeyjar (specifically in Heimaey the largest island) since the first settlement in Iceland around 900.

In 1973 was an eruption in Heimaey and lava flowed over a part of the town and a big part got buried under ash.

The lava in the foreground came from the eruption in 1973. The two islands are Elliðaey (left) and Bjarnarey (right).

In the background you can see the south shore of Iceland.

Sunflower

What is usually called the flower is actually a head (formally composite flower) of numerous florets (small flowers) crowded together. The outer florets are the sterile ray florets and can be yellow, maroon, orange, or other colors. The florets inside the circular head are called disc florets, which mature into seeds

The florets within the sunflower's cluster are arranged in a spiral pattern. Typically each floret is oriented toward the next by approximately the golden angle, 137.5°, producing a pattern of interconnecting spirals where the number of left spirals and the number of right spirals are successive Fibonacci numbers. Typically, there are 34 spirals in one direction and 55 in the other; on a very large sunflower there could be 89 in one direction and 144 in the other. This pattern produces the most efficient packing of seeds within the flower head.

Sunflowers in the bud stage exhibit heliotropism. At sunrise, the faces of most sunflowers are turned towards the east. Over the course of the day they follow the sun from east to west, while at night they return to an eastward orientation. This motion is performed by motor cells in the pulvinus, a flexible segment of the stem just below the bud. As the bud stage ends, the stem stiffens and the blooming stage is reached.

Sunflowers in their blooming stage lose their heliotropic capacity. The stem becomes "frozen", typically in an eastward orientation. The stem and leaves lose their green color.

The wild sunflower typically does not turn toward the sun; its flowering heads may face many directions when mature. However, the leaves typically exhibit some heliotropism.

Sunflowers most commonly grow to heights between 1.5 and 3.5 m (8–12 ft). Scientific literature reports from 1567, that a 12-m (40 ft), traditional, single-head, sunflower plant was grown in Padua. The same seed lot grew almost 8 m (26 ft) at other times and places (e.g. Madrid). Much more recent feats (past score years) of over 8 m have been achieved in both Netherlands and Ontario, Canada.

The sunflower is the state flower of the US state of Kansas, and one of the city flowers of Kitakyūshū, Japan.

The sunflower is often used as a symbol of green ideology, much as the red rose is a symbol of socialism or social democracy.

The sunflower is also the symbol of the Vegan Society. During the late 19th century, the flower was used as the symbol of the Aesthetic Movement.

Subject of Van Gogh's most famous still life, Sunflowers (series of paintings)

The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine.

Not everything in life is as we expect. There are times when nothing goes as planned, there are times when problems are the only ones we get. We even feel no one is closer to us and we feel so alone even in the crowd, thinking about the solutions for all the problems we have. We even dream about having a single solution which solves all our problems in a second, like pressing a remote button and the whole scenario changes and there is complete happiness around. But reality is brutal, it kind of makes us think about those problems till we are exhausted and down. But there is an interesting thing about these "problems". If we think the problem can be solved, why do we hurt ourself trying to solve it ourselves, or if we feel if it can never be solved, then why hurt ourselves thinking about something which never exists. No matter how down you are its upto you to put your heads up and walk across the problems or put your head down and hurt yourself thinking about them when life is fast moving away from you. Thanks for all your visits, comments and fav

The Council decided that the multidimensional presence shall include a United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad (the acronym MINURCAT is to be used in all languages), with the following mandate in eastern Chad and the north-eastern Central African Republic, in liaison with the United Nations country team:

(b) To liaise with the national army, the gendarmerie and police forces, the nomad national guard, the judicial authorities and prison officials in Chad and the Central African Republic to contribute to the creation of a more secure environment;

(c) To liaise with the Chadian Government and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in support of their efforts to relocate refugee camps which are in close proximity to the border, and to provide to UNHCR, on availability and cost-reimbursable basis, logistical assistance for that purpose;

(d) To liaise closely with the Sudanese Government, the African Union, the African Union Mission in the Sudan (AMIS), the AU/UN Hybrid operation in Darfur (UNAMID), the United Nations Peacebuilding Support Office in the Central African Republic (BONUCA), the Multinational Force of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (FOMUC) and the Community of Sahelo-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) to exchange information on emerging threats to humanitarian activities in the region;

Human rights and the rule of law

(e) To contribute to the monitoring and to the promotion and protection of human rights, with particular attention to sexual and gender-based violence, and to recommend action to the competent authorities, with a view to fighting impunity;

(f) To support, within its capabilities, efforts aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Governments of Chad and the Central African Republic and civil society through training in international human rights standards, and efforts to put an end to recruitment and use of children by armed groups;

(g) To assist the Governments of Chad and, notwithstanding the mandate of BONUCA, the Central African Republic in the promotion of the rule of law, including through support for an independent judiciary and a strengthened legal system, in close coordination with United Nations agencies.”

The Security Council, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, also:

(a) Authorizes the European Union to deploy, for a period of one year from the date that its initial operating capability is declared by the European Union in consultation with the Secretary-General, an operation (hereinafter referred to as “the European Union operation”) aimed at supporting the elements referred to in paragraphs 2 to 4, and decides that this operation shall be authorized to take all necessary measures, within its capabilities and its area of operation in eastern Chad and the north-eastern Central African Republic, to fulfil the following functions, in accordance with the arrangement to be concluded between the European Union and the United Nations, in liaison with the Governments of Chad and the Central African Republic:

(i) To contribute to protecting civilians in danger, particularly refugees and displaced persons;

(ii) To facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and the free movement of humanitarian personnel by helping to improve security in the area of operations;

The Council also, among other things, invited the European Union operation to immediately take all appropriate measures to prepare its full operational capability and requested the Secretary-General to coordinate closely with the European Union particularly with regard to those arrangements required to ensure appropriate protection for United Nations personnel, facilities, installations and equipment and ensure freedom of movement of United Nations staff.

The Security Council, by its resolution 1861 of 14 January 2009, extended MINURCAT’s mandate for a period of 12 months in order to help create the security conditions conducive to a voluntary, secure and sustainable return of refugees and displaced persons, inter alia by contributing to the protection of refugees, displaced persons and civilians in danger; by facilitating the provision of humanitarian assistance in eastern Chad and the north-eastern Central African Republic; and by creating favourable conditions for the reconstruction and economic and social development of those areas.

It decided that MINURCAT should include a maximum of 300 police officers, 25 military liaison officers, 5,200 military personnel, and an appropriate number of civilian personnel.

The Council further decided that MINURCAT should have the following mandate in eastern Chad and the north-eastern Central African Republic, in liaison with the United

ENGLISH

Lanuza is a small village located in the Pyrenean of Huesca, Aragón, Spain. It is in the left border of the marsh to which it gives name, in that dam up waters of the Gállego river. Lanuza belongs to the municipal term of Sallent de Gállego, in the region of High Gállego.

The name of Lanuza seems to derive from the latinized celtic term moor or wool, that means “slope”, occurring the circumstance that the surrounding place to the town (today submerged) was in its day occupied by extensive prairies and grass. Its existence appears documented from 13th century and in 1488 already it counted on 20 homes. Along with Sallent, it formed one of the three historical "quiñones" in which the Valley of Tena was divided administratively.

Prosperously and eminently cattle dealer in her origins, the construction of the dam in 1976 caused the gradual and forced unhabitation of the locality until being vacated completely in 1978. Victim of plunder and the abandonment, in the decade of the 90 old inhabitants was able to recover the not submerged properties and initiate a revitalization process still active.

CASTELLANO

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,

but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.

Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

But the greatest of these is love.

Today was a good day! The sun was shining, the birds were singing, it was 70 degrees out, and things are blooming!! I just love this time of year. I mean, to watch the world around you wake up and rejoice, is just amazing. Adam and I took a little romp around the neighborhood this afternoon and this pear tree caught my eye, The blooms were so pretty and were popping out everywhere. Hope you guys enjoy looking at them as much as I did!

Oh, and I'm on Adele kick these days. Enjoy the lyrics to another one of her songs!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Found myself today singing out your name,

You said I'm crazy,

If I am I'm crazy for you.

Sometimes sitting in the dark wishing you were here

Turns me crazy,

But it's you who makes me lose my head.

And every time I'm meant to be acting sensible

You drift into my head

And turn me into a crumbling fool.

Tell me to run and I'll race,

If you want me to stop I'll freeze,

And if you are me gonna leave, just hold me closer baby,

And make me crazy for you.

Crazy for you.

Lately with this state I'm in I can't help myself but spin.

I wish you'd come over,

Send me spinning closer to you.

My oh my, how my blood boils, it's sweet taste for you,

Strips me down bare

And gets me into my favourite mood.

I keep on trying, fighting these feelings away,

But the more I do,

The crazier I turn into.

Pacing floors and opening doors,

Hoping you'll walk through

And save me boy,

Because I'm too crazy for you.

Crazy for you

View Large and on Black. Looks more like a painting, less like a photo. It's supposed to look like a painting, and "over processed".

Watch out, because she's gunna get you. Ok folks, here you go: The first of two insane edits, edited with Corel Painter 9.5. I was going for the "painting" effect. I'm very proud. I think It turned out amazing. If anyone wants to see the originals let me know. Also, my bone structure an everything like that: Not edited. I really do have those type of cheeks, and those lips, and that shaped nose, and those shaped eyes. I just don't have the light green irises, the platinum hair, or the flawless skin. Unfortunately...

Also, this is my alter ego. I really feel if I cracked my personal shell, I would be this daring, dangerous little kitten. Too bad, because that's just my Ideal. I'm far too happy-go-lucky/ real person to pull this off. Oh, only in my dreams. At least I can look it for now. That's the best part about photography: You can just be YOU.

After some comments: I would really like to know how people can rave about photos that are so over processed, like HDR photos, and other 'shopped photos, but when it comes to a photo turned painting (mind you a majority digital artists works this way) or EVERY edit of some woman, gets so much crap. How is adding a dosage of fantasy so horrible in comparison to the extreme edits of fashion photograph? I guess I'm beginning to rant, but I honestly do appreciate the opinions. I just wish people would approach this from a digital artist's P.O.V. rather than a photographers. And by digital artist I don't mean someone who does post processing, and editing, I'm talking about someone who creates art from a photo. What ever though.

PS: When rating photos, don't put something like ':) I like!' with a rating of 4/10. Just an example. It not only pisses me off, but it pisses off EVERYONE who gets ratings like that.

La, la, la. Sorry for the rant, I'm in a pissy mood...

Anyways I was going for something a little elf/ fairy/ nymph ish.

The Porsche 977 Turbo Cabriolet is capable of reaching similar top speeds, and acceleration, of the standard Porsche 997 Turbo Coupe. This is considered an astonishing feat because usually the convertible version of cars are much slower than the hardtop variant, due to its slightly less stable aerodynamics associated with its soft roof, and its extra weight caused by the structural reinforcements made necessary by the absence of B and C pillars.

Obama promised unemployment would not exceed 8% - now its 9.5% and rising

Obama said it was mandatory that the 10 to 20 trillion dollar (with debt servicing) "stimulus" was passed right away or we are doomed - it was voted on and passed without those voting in the affirmative for it even reading it.

Once passed, the vast majority of the "stimulus" spending is deferred to 2010 which coincidentally is an election year for the politicians who voted for passage. An inference is that the only crisis was the socialists getting reelected after their policy of fascism failed to turn around the economy. A study of history will reveal their concern - no fascist/socialist enterprise has been successful at improving the quality of life for its citizens at any time in human history. No civilization has successfully taxed and spent its way out of a recession in the history of humanity.

Those who hold America's debt are frantically calling for a "world currency", knowing full well, that the certain forthcoming hyperinflation in America will significantly devalue the US Dollar and their investments will then be worth pennies on the dollar.

Now, Obama says that health care must be nationalized right away or we are doomed.

Now, Obama says that Sotomayor must be confirmed right away or we are doomed.

Now, Obama says that Cap and Trade (destroy and nationalize the energy sector) bill must be passed right away or we are doomed.

Now, Obama says that trillions of dollars of new taxes must be passed right away or we are doomed. These new taxes are on top of the trillions of dollars in new taxes that were already included in his "stimulus" bill and budget.

Is there a pattern? Does "we" refer to his constituents or perhaps himself and his political cronies?

No civilization has reversed a downward unemployment spiral by shrinking its private sector and growing its government bureaucracy.

The countries who have tried the fascist/socialist experiment are now moving back to more capitialistic free market policies - why? because shrinking their private sector and burdening it with increased government confiscatory/redistribution policies created misery in the form of unemployment, loss of individual freedom, lower quality of life and medical care rationing, shortages and misery.

Biden: We have to keep spending money to keep from going bankrupt.

Obama: We must pass nationalized health care so we can reduce costs. (We must do it now or we are doomed)

wiki.answers.com/Q/Name_and_explain_two_effects_of_price_...

When thinking about price controls, think of the supply and demand curves and remember that with a price control, it is impossible for a price to get into equilibrium. With that in mind, we can identify two problems that result from this.

1. A shortage/oversupply of the good. If there is a price ceiling, you have a shortage (a la gasoline during the price controls of the 70's.) If there is a floor, you have overproduction (a la ethanol. Which, granted, is subsidized, but that is effectively like a price floor). *Note* also consider the housing markets where rent control is present.

2. An inefficient allocation of resources. With ethanol being subsidized, we witnessed a massive increase in the price of corn. The market did not want this, and thus we saw an inefficient allocation of resources.

Should National Health Care pass in this country, I will not know where or when I will die, but I will know how - substandard medical care, denial of care, lack of r&d due to price controls and rationing emposed by the government - all based on decisions by bureaucrats, actuaries, accountants and political appointees who I do not know and who do not know me or my specific needs or wishes ... and more importantly do not care ... they care only about passing the next government audit cycle for cost control.

PLEASE STOP THIS TYRANNY

No pasa nada. Corto y empiezo otra vez.

Marc Chagall.

I wonder when I'll be good enough...

*sigh* This is my "creative" photo for Day 8 of my 365.

I told you that stethoscope would be back =]

So, I slept until 1 in the afternoon today. I wanted to stay in bed all day and just.... I don't know, stay there?

My little sister wasn't home, so I had to clean the bathroom, kitchen and living room myself.

I don't mind it. I like to clean when I think or I'm stressed. Which I was both today.

I'm listening to "All The Same" by Sick Puppies. I'm kind addicted to this song. It's a good song to listen to if you're feeling the way I do right now.

"I don't mind where you come from

As long as you come to me.

I don't like illusions I can't see,

them clearly.

I don't care, no I wouldn't dare

To fix the twist in you.

You've shown me eventually,

What you'll do."

"And I'll take you for who you are

If you take me for everything..."

Anywho, my little sister is home now.... She wanted me to kill a bug for her. For being a used-to-be brown belt, she sure is a scardy-cat.

So I told her to do it herself.... She's using the vacuum. Go figure.

My mother and little sister went out to dinner with family friends tonight. It was pretty good...

Oh, and I weighed myself today. 136.8 pounds >.< That's 16.8 pounds heaver than what I want to be.

I'm still working on it.

My sister now has ANOTHER boyfriend.... Well, "boyfriend". She's confusing. But I love her. We tell each other everything.

Most things. Like 99%.

I'll never know some things about her, and vice verse.

She keeps talking about him. She knows I hate it when she does that. Kinda, showing off and bragging to me. She doesn't mean it though. I tell her. She knows how lonely I feel. How much I want "that someone".

So, it's 11.32 at night. Wow, the last time I looked at the clock, it was only 11.01.

I'll save my wish for another night.

a rare, quiet and calm moment captured of caesar just a few moments ago..usually during the day he's so full of energy and just wants to play fetch with his soccer ball and while i got a bunch of shots of him trying to catch a ball in the backyard, those looked boring and plain to me. they show off his physical abilities but i wanted to show his softer, more gentle side.

it took a few minutes to get him to lay like this..the treat i had in my one hand initially made him even more excited but i waited it out and it paid off...if there's one thing this dog teaches me, it's patience. i do love him for that as well as the incredible companionship he provides us all.

technically, someone had asked me about my indoor shots and while i'm not really great at using my (external) flash..i have figured out that bouncing it over and behind my head works best..i shoot with the camera on manual as well as the flash, that way i can take a few test shots then adjust +/- a few stops if need be.

Ahhhh Canada. Being from Michigan and growing up less than an hour from the border, I've had the kind of access to Canada that many Americans don't. See, here when we turn 19, it's time to celebrate because we can drive across the border to Windsor and drink in the bars. Or, if you'd rather, sometimes we simply get lost on our way home from Red Wings games and accidentally find ourselves on the Ambassador Bridge on our way into Ontario where we then have to explain to the border guard that we are simply trying to get some dinner at Chicken Chalet. We also get constant access to the Candaian television station CBC, which, if you're a hockey fan (which we all are here in the Detroit area), means that you get Hockey Night in Canada and Coach's Corner with Don Cherry. I don't know any of my friends who voluntarily chooses to watch hockey on any channel other than CBC. Much better commentating.

So, Happy Canada Day to all of my Canuck friends (and there are many!). Thank you for the great beer (Labatt Blue), great sports (hockey and curling), great music (who didn't love Alanis Morissette in her prime?), and mostly for the great people. :)

This image is a view looking east from the riverfront in Windsor, Ontario. This is Belle Isle Bridge (Douglas MacArthur Bridge) which takes you from east Detroit to Belle Isle Island which sits in the middle of the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor and almost at the opening of Lake St. Clair. It was a bit of a hazy day and I was experimenting with some filters....and of course some editing...and ended up with this minimalist rendition. This was inspired by another one of my flickr friends (Digit_AL)...fantastic minimalistic work!

Situated at "la Pointe-à-Jacquot", this beautiful building of the neo-gothic revival style is still a gathering point for the Acadian community of Bouctouche.

Formerly the Convent of the Immaculate Conception, it played an important role in the Acadian renaissance. The Museum offers an insight into life at a boarding school in the 19th and 20th century and gives an overview of the regional way of life. Its Chapel has been recognized as an architectural gem.

History

Marguerite Maillet, a teacher, donated a 40-acre piece of land for the construction of a convent. Soon afterwards, she becomes a nun with the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception (SCIC) and takes the name of Sister Marie-Julienne. In 1892, she is named Sister Superior at the Bouctouche convent, a position she will hold until her death in 1911.

In the calling out to one another

Of the lovers up and down the strand

In the sound of the waves and the cries

Of the seagulls circling the sand

In the fragments of the songs

Carried down the wind from some radio

In the murmuring of the city in the distance

Ominous and low

I hear the sound of the world where we played

And the far too simple beauty

Of the promises we made

If you ever need holding

Call my name, I'll be there

If you ever need holding

And no holding back, I'll see you through

Sky, sky blue and black

Where the touch of the lover ends

And the soul of the friend begins

There's a need to be separate

and a need to be one

And a struggle neither wins

Where you gave me the world I was in

And a place I could make a stand

I could never see how you doubted me

When I'd let go of your hand

Yeah, and I was much younger then

And I must have thought that I would know

If things were going to end

And the heavens were rolling

Like a wheel on a track

And our sky was unfolding

And it'll never fold back

Sky blue and black

And I'd have fought the world for you

If I thought that you wanted me to

Or put aside what was true or untrue

If I'd known that's what you needed

What you needed me to do

But the moment has passed by me now

To have put away my pride

And just come through for you somehow

If you ever need holding

Call my name, I'll be there

If you ever need holding

And no holding back, I'll see you through

You're the color of the sky

Reflected in each store-front window pane

You're the whispering and the sighing

Of my tires in the rain

You're the hidden cost and

the thing that's lost

In everything I do

Yeah and I'll never stop looking for you

In the sunlight and the shadows

And the faces on the avenue

That's the way love is

That's the way love is

That's the way love is

Sky blue and black

Another from the NY Botanical Gardens. I have so many...but I promise not to bore you all with tons of flowers, well not all at once at least! lol

I do love it here! They lost money on my membership!

The only sign I could find for this was, "Red Hot Poker, Torchlily". Not sure it's red hot...but maybe there's something else to it's name! The contrast between all the rest of the flowers around it made it stand out so much.

Be well my friends....

I decided to have a New Year's Rant about litter! It seems to becoming more and more of a problem here from people with a couldn't care less attitude to casually tossing away anything they are carrying rather than putting it in a rubbish bin right up to those who recently drove a truckload of old carpets up to a local beauty spot one night, reversed into the woods and dumped the lot. The education system here pays no attention to this; indeed the most litter-filled place round here is a 500 yard radius around the local High School.

A few weeks ago we saw a large family having a picnic on the Cathedral Green in Wells with lots of styrofoam containers and coffee cups, chip packets, wine bottles and plastic glasses. When they'd finished eating and drinking they simply got up and walked off leaving everything where it lay. Every footpath round here is strewn with discarded soft drink bottles and plastic bags. This photo shows a soft drink bottle dumped on the ice covering a frozen field beside the river Brue on the edge of Glastonbury yesterday. Next to it is a supermarket trolley (see below) which is a long way from its home, the nearest Tesco supermarket being at least a mile away. There was even a supermarket trolley in the moat at the Bishop's Palace in Wells recently thanks no doubt to a group of Friday night feral youths.

Next time I go for a walk I'm going to have to carry a rubbish bag with me again and pick up some more of everybody else's mess! Thankfully my parents taught me to take these things home with me and to leave nature the way I'd like to find it. Sadly these days they would probably not have been allowed to teach me that sort of thing!

The Badshahi Mosque in Lahore at dusk. The telltale Mughal architecture and the magnificent domes that accompany it makes this the most beautiful mosque I've had the pleasure of visiting. The mood was very relaxed and as we wandered around waiting for a well-timed dusk photo session we were treated to a well-sung call to prayer (not always the case), the evening prayer itself presenting photo ops.

I'm going to Damascus in January and one of the photo projects is the Umayyad Mosque, a worthy contender to runner-up.

I sang this to the boys when they were babies:

All the things you said to me today,

Change my perspective in every way.

These things count to mean so much to me,

Into my faith, you and your baby.

It's out there. It's out there.

It's out there. If you want me I'll be here.

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you.

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you.

And there's no other place,

That I'd lay down my face.

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you.

It's out there. It's out there.

It's out there. If you want me I'll be here...

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you.

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you.

And there's no other place,

That I'd lay down my face.

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you.

Dreaming my dreams with you.

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you.

And there's no other place,

That I'd lay down my face.

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you.

...night night!

Federatuon Square (wikipedia)

Federation Square (also colloquially known as Fed Square) is a cultural precinct in the city of Melbourne, Australia. It comprises a series of buildings containing a public broadcaster, art galleries, a museum, cinemas, exhibition spaces, auditoria, restaurants, bars and shops around two major public spaces, one covered (The Atrium), the other open to the sky, and composed of two spaces that flow into one another (St. Paul's Court and The Square). The majority of the precinct is built on top of a concrete deck over busy railway lines. Construction began in 1998 and the site opened in 2002.

A major addition to the precinct in 2006 was Federation Wharf, which extended Federation Square to the Yarra by redeveloping the vaults under the Princes Bridge into cafes and ferry terminals with elevator access to Federation Square.

I took a lot of photos that looked much nicer than this, but my view finder did not tell me what was really happening… I was using my 12mm lens with a circular polarizer filter which when used together make a huge dark blue blob in the middle of the sky. I am now going to sell off that filter… och! Funny thing was just before I took this trip I found an article warning not to use a CPF with a wide angle lens for just this very exact reason… yeah, I need to learn to listen, but it was exactly because of that warning that I took this one shot without it on.
