So this is not not what I set out to do, but this duck stole the show.
Normally I can't beg these guys to come into an image and this guy not only walks into my frame but decides to have a Kardashian moment SMH :)
I just had to cross to the other side of the road a couple of times to look at the beach of Slapton Sands. Torcross is on the right while Start Point Lighthouse still manages to dominate the local area

This is a corner of one my dad's National Service photo albums. He was a soldier in the REME and sent to Egypt in early 1950s, where he bought this leather bound album.
The front of the album has an Egyptian scene painted on it with a number of photographs and postcards mounted inside !!

We didn't build the ice sculpture thing (Inuksuk - Thanks to Carolyn aka white chipmunk for explaining to me what this is) on frozen Lake Minnewanka but it did make a great foreground element as well as blocking the sun so that the sundog or parhelia becames much more evident. Thanks to whoever created it! ;-)
The blue cast comes from switching the white balance to tungsten in RAW. To give the sun light a warmer look I used a warming filter in PS with a circlular mask.

1957 Opel Olympia Rekord
I'm not sure about the location of this photo, but I have a feeling it could be Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This is a 1957 Opel Olympia Rekord, so this photo is probably used for the 1958 calander. Please note how the car and the lady's dress are about the only items with real color here. The fountain doesn't look to be in a very fine shape too. Wirtschaftswunder or not, Germany in the 1950s was still recovering of the hardships inflicted by the Nazi regime.
Update: H2074 identified the location as Mosbach.
