These peas came from the field that is the subject of my 'A Photo a Week' project. Please believe that I didn't grab a handful of peas from the truck when the farmer's back was turned, I found these on the path, much later. Honest, gov :-)
I decided to see if I could make them into a series of pictures -- here is the first of em!

i bought this plant already started at the nursery. the tag did not give a specific type of pea, so i have no idea what this is going to be. hopefully not a sugar pea!
-Highly recommend the cuisinart smartstick. It was so much easier than using the food processor or blender!

One of our baby peas has yet to shuck his seed, and so we get a creepy look at plant biology at work. Gross! Who wants science going on in their garden?
I love sweet peas anyway, but the color of these captured my heart.

Pea is short for Peatrice. I have to be careful when saying things about her out loud because they usually end up sounding funny. >___<
