This is one of the vehicles that took part in the Greater Manchester Transport Society's Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally at Heaton Park, Manchester in September 1990. It's a 1958 Leyland Titan PD2/30 that was delivered new to Wigan Corporation in November 1958 with fleet number 115. It is chassis 581260 and has a 9.8 litre diesel engine with bodywork by Northern Counties. It remained in service with Wigan until 1971 and then became a driver training bus. It's not listed in the programme of the event, but when it took part in the Rally in 1996 there was this note in the programme:

Former Operator - Wigan. This 'Tin Front' Bus is housed in the Museum of Transport. The style of bus dates back to a BMMO design and later known as 'An Edinburgh Front'.
I could not leave her nekkid so she has a skirt on that I got in the crafter swap. Ebony grabbed that immediately. R wanted to play with the DOLL so the only one he is allowed to grab is the headless horseman right now.

Preserved former Barrow-in-Furness Corporation 169 (CEO956) was one of ten Leyland Titan PD2/40s with Park Royal 61 seat rear entrance bodywork that entered service in 1958. It was photographed at the Trans-Lancs Transport Show, Heaton Park on 4 September 2016.

I gave her a very quick makeover... was not sure if I saw the color scheme on another ebony else where, but this was the midnight theme was what came first into my mind.
And the gates were opened! RTL 139 along with a well know Jag! The photo was taken from the top of an open top RT!

This PD2 is minus its mudguards and headlights, having had an engine change. It has covered over 1-million miles. It was first used by Doncaster Corporation in 1947, fitted with a body built by Leyland. In 1963 the body was replaced with one from a redundant trolleybus, with the cab altered to a half-cab style by Roe. It arrived at Sandtoft in 1974 and has since been fitted with a new staircase.
