This smart PD2, restored after a thorough restoration, was new to Ribble in 08/1956 being one of forty-five of the type supplied new in that year. All these, apart from the latter five, had a power operated rear platform-door. Making it's preservation debut during 2021, it is seen here on display at the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust's Lytham Hall Rally & Running Day, on 17/07/2022. This photo was taken from preserved Devon General, 'Sir Thomas Howard' - 931, 931 GTA, a convertible open-top bodied Metro-Cammell bodied Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 when on a Barrow Transport Group members tour the Lytham Hall Ribble Vehicle Preservation Group rally and running day. A recent acquisition as part of the BTG collection, it was new to Devon General(DL931), in 06/1961, and is preserved in NBC 'Local Coach' livery. XMD 47A Leyland Titan PD2/12 / Metro Cammell The Amberley Collection on loan from The Big Bus Company.

This has been identified elsewhere as formerly carrying reg number KCH106 making it Leyland PD2/12 562711 with MCCW H32/26RD body new in 1957 and ex Trent 1006.

According to fellow FlickR member iainwilson1 this 1957 59 seater Leyland Titan started out with Trent Motor's, Whippet Bus of St Ives, and Purfleet (?) , Essex, who sold it to Grey Green of 55 Stamford Hill, N16. Chassis no 562711. Then of course Big Bus of Tooting.

I took this photograph at the Greater Manchester Transport Society's Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally at Heaton Park, Manchester in September 1993. It’s a 1950 Leyland Titan PD2/1, new to Leicester City Transport, and the programme of the event said this about it:

Following a service life of twenty years, this vehicle passed through the hands of a strawberry picking farmer and was left for three years in a field before being rescued by Leicester City Transport and restored.

Here is the most update on the bus and the rear side and she is looking good so far

Passenger Transport had advertising about all aspects of passenger transport, but this is rare in being a display advertisement about advertising. Unlike Griffiths and Millington’s full page here which features a Plymouth MCW Orion bodied Titan PD2 whose advertisement was added in the photgraphic studio, Cowan-Ad of Glasgow merely used a sentence in the lineage advertising. However they did so in every issue of every trade magazine. One wonders whose approach worked best.

Leyland PD2/40 new in May 1958, OCO502 was purchased by the Plymouth City Transport Preservation Group at Auction in Sept 2012, for £4,800. Seen at David Clarke Commercial repairs at Buckfastleigh, under repairs. 7th July 2013
