Today I’m shifting gears back to geekier stuff! You may recognize this mini computer build from a set I released earlier this year (My Old Desktop: DOS Edition). However, it was actually developed as an ornament first and adapted later for the desk set. It’s a fun, intricate build with an almost perfect center of gravity, keeping it level as it hangs on your tree! Guide at chrismcveigh.com
What:
Peggy's Cove Preservation Area
Where:
Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada
About:
Yeah, yeah, I know... another shot from Peggy's Cove! Well at least this is from a spot you don't see often, in fact I've never bothered to stop here to take a picture but the sky was too good to pass up.
This spot is right off the road about a mile or so before the turn off to lighthouse you see from me so often. It is a pretty neat area though. It reminds me some kind of barren tundra you might see way up north.
I think this spot will look nice when it's covered in snow with the water peeking through. We might be getting our first big snow fall of the year here tomorrow night. Somewhere between 6" a to a foot in total depending on which forecast you listen to. At any rate I will definitely get out with the camera if we do get snow. I'm always amazed how just an inch or two of snow can completely change the way a landscape looks.
Please, no invites or crazy glittery graphics. Just a simple comment is nice.
Thank You

Sometimes, Flickr's justified view lines photos up in a serendipitous yet coincidental and/or silly way. This is one of those times. Come-hither eyes + 1950's movie martian helmet = silliness.
Penn Central GG1 922 at Morrisville, Pennsylvania on an unknown day in December 1974, Kodachrome by unknown photographer, Chuck Zeiler collection. This locomotive appears to be numbered into the Amtrak number series. Amtrak 922 was built as PRR 4928.
PC Coaches operate three ex Newport Scania Omnicitys, primarily on school work. This view sees L400PCC (YN57FZS) heading through Pilham with the lengthy 963 from Scotton via the Trent villages to De Aston in Market Rasen. The duty it was working includes a couple of runs on service 43 between Market Rasen and Lincoln during the day.

Rusting away outside of the museum at Bellevue is this old PC E Unit. Funny that in its' lifetime it received 2 nose logos on the front door. Bellevue, OH.
A northbound Penn Central train gets ready to clatter across the diamond at Kentland, Indiana in July of 1974. Both lines at this point were controlled by PC being former NYC and PRR routes. Kentland tower is seeing it's last years by now and would be gone in a year and a half with the coming of Conrail. In 6 more years, Milwaukee Road, Conrail and Santa Fe trains would be coming through this junction. Unfortunately for me, I never saw the tower. Photo was taken by Robert Lambka. View looks S/S/E from Route 24.
Penn Central GP38 #7692 was built by EMD in June of 1969. GP38's were the main power for this line up to and including Conrail.
