La torréfaction du café est l’action de cuire, de chauffer, de griller de façon à transformer le grain de café
vert en grain de café torréfié. Le matériel qui servira à cette cuisson est appelé torréfacteur. Si, jadis, les familles torréfiaient leur café elles-mêmes, cette opération fondamentale est désormais une affaire de spécialistes. Aujourd’hui, le torréfacteur, ou maître torréfacteur, chauffe le grain de café vert afin de le transformer et obtenir un grain brun composé de plus de 800 molécules aromatiques.
La torréfaction est sans nul doute l’étape la plus importante dans la fabrication du café.

Gulf fritillary or passion butterfly takes its common name from its migration over the Gulf of Mexico. Flower is Mexican Sage (Salvia Leucantha)
My Meilland 'Charles de Gaulle' rose. One of the most fragrant roses in the world. It is a pale purple (or lilac) colour, bordering on being pink. In my garden here in northern Sydney.

I was at my favorite place in the Garden Of The Gods this morning taking on 3 degree temperatures that felt like -9 with the wind chill to revisit my Passion. There was all types of light and color even before this image I made. Cheyenne Mountain in the background. Enjoy.
Be kind to yourself. Passion will undo the best of us and lead only to tragedy. It's ever thus for those who care so deeply.
