In order to introduce a small turbine powered airplane, Soloy first produced their own certified turbo prop version of the Rolls-Royce 250 engine previously used in the helicopter conversion. The Soloy Turbine Pac was installed in the Cessna 206 then later the Cessna 207. The Soloy Turbine Pac enhanced operational capabilities for these Cessna aircraft especially those on floats or used for sky diving operations. In addition, Soloy has developed many improvements for mature designs using original Soloy systems or power plants that were not available to the original aircraft manufacturer.
The Turbine-Pac is a versatile STC approved turboprop powerplant utilizing the dependable Rolls-Royce 250 series turboshaft engines. It was designed for extreme durability, quiet operation and FOD protection. The Turbine-Pac is available in “pusher” or “tractor” propeller configurations.
While the 420 HP 250-C20S version of the Turbine-Pac is the backbone of more than 80 Soloy Cessna 206 / 207 conversions since certification in 1983, it has also been the selected powerplant for nearly a dozen prototype and experimental aircraft utilizing Rolls-Royce engines ranging in power output from 317 hp to 650 hp.
The Cessna 205, 206, and 207, are a family of single-engined, general aviation aircraft with fixed landing gear, used in commercial air service as well as for personal use. The family was originally developed from the popular retractable-gear Cessna 210 and produced by the Cessna Aircraft Company.
The line's combination of a powerful engine, rugged construction and a large cabin has made these aircraft popular bush planes. Cessna describes the 206 as "the sport-utility vehicle of the air." These airplanes are also used for aerial photography, skydiving and other utility purposes. They can also be equipped with floats, amphibious floats and skis. Alternatively, they can be fitted with luxury appointments for use as a personal air transport.
From 1962 to 2006 Cessna produced 8,509 aircraft in the 205, 206 and 207 variants. The aircraft remains in production.
This aircraft was at the 1984 Farnborough Airshow known officially the Farnborough International Airshow, which is a trade exhibition for the aerospace and defence industries, where civilian and military aircraft are demonstrated to potential customers and investors. Since its first show in 1948, Farnborough has seen the debut of many famous planes, including the Vickers VC10, Concorde, the Eurofighter, the Airbus A380, and the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. At the 1958 show, the RAF’s Black Arrows executed a 22-plane formation loop, setting a world record.
The international trade show is put together every two years by FIL Farnborough International Ltd. and runs for five days. Formerly, the show ran for a full week with trade visitors attending on the first five days and the weekend reserved for the general public. Programming takes place at the Farnborough Airfield, which lies roughly 50 kilometres south-west of London.

The Midway Mall opened in 1966 with Higbee's, Sears, JCPenney, and Woolworth as anchor stores. Over the years, Higbee's became Dillard's (then closed in 2007) and Woolworth became Best Buy. A new south wing was added to Midway Mall in 1990. That wing featured a May Company department store (later Kaufmann's and Macy's before closing in early 2016).
As of Summer 2017, the Sears department store is closing and the mall has just been sold for $4.25 million on July 12th. As of writing this, the buyer of the mall has yet to be known. The rumors for what happens to the mall next are all over the place; they range from a hospital complex to a hotel / casino complex to a giant mobile home park (obviously a joke)...
Hopefully something actually is done rather than letting the mall slowly die like Randall Park or Rolling Acres did. At least the occupancy in this mall has stabilized for the small stores over the last couple years instead of continuing downward. The department store closings seem to be the biggest drain on the mall; JCPenney is the last traditional department store left at the mall after the Sears closing.
I decided to post these 130 photos as the photos that bring me over 10,000 photo mark on Flickr. I chose this mall because it is my hometown mall.

"Pac" from Battlefield 4. Made this while watching the 17 minute gameplay. I like how it turned out. Hope you like!
Today's partial annual solar eclipse 🌙 as seen from my back garden in Hartlepool, UK at 10:40am this morning. In true British fashion, the clouds rolled in for the best part but I managed to grab a few shots between the gaps in the clouds. If you zoom in you can just about make out a couple of clusters of active sunspot regions.

when I uploaded my happy octopuses picture some friends told me they look like the "little ghosts" in the Pacman videogame
so they "challenged" me... would I be able to "capture" The Pacman in action with the ghosts? and would I be able to make them look realistic? :o)
here is my first attempt made with a sesame bread and (as always) wurst
and some mustard and ketchup instead of the pacman's white pills ;o)
this is the original version (that I prefer, after all)
and here is the coloured version with the "yellow" Pacman and the "blue" frightened little ghosts

Thank you all my friends!
Paseando por Dublin, cerca del río Liffey, se encuentra este detalle que combina a Pac-Man con las luces del suelo, me pareció muy divertido y digno de una fotografía, por supuesto ;)
Here is a paper Pac-man I made for the "We'll be back after these messages" show next month at the Rivet Gallery. Based on the Pac-man animated cartoon I loved as a kid. I'll load some more pictures soon.
Papadums are those giant round crackery things that you get at the Indian restaurant. You can cook them at home. This is our serving suggestion: A slight design improvement and served with a variety of interesting Indian chutneys.
