Abbiamo visitato la città, camminato sulle strade, ammirato la bellezza degli edifici e delle piazze. E poi eccola, affacciata a un balcone, sventolava. Io l'ho sentita chiamare.
Something a bit different, I processed this with photomatix and Lightroom only, I didn't use any masking or filters.
It's probably been 15 years since I last used a pay phone, and when I did I think they cost somewhere around 15 cents, now it's up to 50 cents to make a call.

The Paço das Escolas is an architectural complex that houses the historic core of the University of Coimbra. It was built over several centuries and was originally a fortified Muslim palace called Alcáçova. It later became the royal palace of the Portuguese kings until it was acquired by the University in 1597. The Paço das Escolas has several elements of historical and artistic interest, such as the Porta Férrea, the University Tower, the Joanina Library and the Chapel of São Miguel.
I've been shooting a ton of real estate lately and I had to share this recent finding. Definitely one of the more extravagant game rooms I've seen in a while! A little indoor long exposure HDR blend for fun.

A pair of Canadian Pacific's 'Pac-Man' SD40-2's bring a short ballast train from a quarry in Waterloo WI. shown here on the approach to Watertown. The ballast trains get on the Wisconsin Southern RR at Watertown and head west 11 or so miles to the quarry. loading usually takes a couple hours depending the size of the train. Once loaded it will make way back east to home rails.
CP GP38AC 3019 sits in the yard at Bensenville, IL. With the SD40-2 fleet pretty much history Pac-man units are getting very rare.

Built for our Iron Builder round against Tyler (Legohaulic) and Michaela (Littlehaulic)! The seed part is the yellow rounded 1x2 slope.
Water lily flower and leaves, two of which are Pac-man like in my simple mind (and no, I never played the game!) at the Mt. Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane. A snail has made a guest appearance on the left.
In case you wondered if I had taken leave of my senses regarding the title Pac-man, here is a link to what Pac-man looks like. Then check the leaves!

And for a bit of idle fun, some information! Pac-Man is a Japanese video game franchise published, developed and owned by Bandai Namco Entertainment (formerly Namco). Entries have been developed by a wide array of other video game companies, including Midway Games, Atari and Mass Media, Inc.. The eponymous first entry was released in arcades in 1980 by Namco, and published by Midway Games in North America. Most Pac-Man games are maze chase games, however it has also delved into other genres, such as platformers, racing, and sports. Several games in the series have been released for a multitude of home consoles and are included in many Namco video game compilations.
Pac-Man is one of the longest-running, best-selling, and highest-grossing video game franchises in history; it has seen regular releases for over 40 years, has sold nearly 48 million copies across all platforms, and has grossed over US$14.107 billion, most of which has been from the original arcade game. The character of Pac-Man is the official mascot of Bandai Namco, and remains one of the most recognizable video game characters in history. The franchise is seen as important and influential, and is often used as a representation for 1980's popular culture and video games as a whole.
