Outdoor still life. Dynamic lighting and soft focus lead the eye directly to the fruit. Complex background gives the eye room to wander, but soft focus keeps the eye from wandering too much.

I thought I would use a little bit of the Rule of Thirds in this photo as well as a shallow DOF. I felt that this angle made the pineapple look bigger than it actually is which was the effect I was looking for.

Golden Hour
The shell had so much detail and so many things growing on it, I just wanted to show that. Wish the picture would've been brighter.
This is a bike rack leading onto a footbridge at Glacier Ridge Metro Park. I lowered myself all the way to the ground to get this perspective. I really like the way the arches crisscross each other as it moves from the front to the back.

Though the shot is not perfect, i really loved the bubbles in this and the silhouette of the fish (shadow of the fish) in the background.
My intent was to focus on the corner of my book and a little of my glasses and to have everything else be out of focus.

I was trying to capture the icicle as is is about to drip at the end. The icicle is the highlight and the green background is blurred.
This picture was taken02/09/2017 at1130 am. WIth a Nikon b700. I used the manual mode. I had an ISO setting of 100, a shutter speed of 1/40 and aperture of f/6.3. My lens is a 4.3-258mm zoom lens I was zoomed out to 236.5mm
I was trying to show the reality of the stop light. It is our decision between life and sometimes death or a serious injury, it controls us in traffic and keeps us obedient while driving. Without these we would be in a world of chaos. Just yesterday there was a serious head on accident between 2 cars. Plus I like stop lights I tend to practice my reaction time for the track when the light turns green.
