Just finishing up the tryptic, I can't tell which one is my favorite but I think there is a story to be told here. Thanks for all the positive feedback!
I still have more from the roll to show though so there's still some excitement there!
It's not easy to overcome the inertia of driving a car, of transporting yourself from A to B. It's not uncommon for a great photo opportunity to emerge somewhere along the way. Sometimes I have the presence of mind to stop immediately to capture the moment. Other times I hesitate in my thinking while the car hurtles along at a mile a minute, taking me away from the scene. And the farther I go, the more difficult it becomes to turn back. Anyway on this fine day, my reaction to these clouds was immediate. I stopped, grabbed the camera and bounded up to a perfect vantage point. I was taken by the cloud formation and how it seemed to undulate in response to the contours of the earth beneath. Almost as if there was some invisible connection. As I stood here in the brilliant light, looking up the slope, my mind flashed back to me as a young child. In this vision, I was hurtling down a snow covered hill much like this one, riding a tiny aluminum saucer. These saucers were intended expressly for coasting, but in retrospect seemed to put the rider in great peril. There was no steering or braking. One simply hopped on, shoved off, and hoped for the best. Totally thrilling as a child, despite numerous rollovers and encounters with trees and rocks. I wonder if those little saucers are still being manufactured, or if the cost of liability insurance and litigation brought about their demise. Or perhaps lack of interest. I rarely see anyone coasting these days. I think my little saucer epitomized the simpler times of my youth.

A wonderful friend agreed to pose for this image during a workshop I gave last month! I think we can all agree she's the best. :)
The immensity of our Milky Way galaxy always blows me away every time I see it especially in clear dark skies.
This is my Photo-Heart Connection of June. I had not to think very much because the only photos I have taken along the whole month have been a series of these cherries
The day after I finished checking the paper of my students and once I uploaded their marks, I took my camera. Only a few weeks had passed without taking a single photo, even so, it was like a foreign object in my hand that I didn´t know how to handle. I felt sad and tempted to let it aside, but I had the feeling that this could create a breach, a rupture (...)

Last weekend was a rainy, windy and cold one which of course makes for cool photos especially in a backless dress 😉 I scrambled up the wet rocks trying not to slip and doing my best to not look pained from the cold 😯 my fingers hurt so badly from the cold that I was like I'm never doing that again 😨😲 but who am I kidding I'll always jump at the chance of a good photo opportunity 📷

Step by step, I overcome my infirmity.
I learn to believe in myself.
I learn to face the challenge, that must be faced.

Escalators Maastunnel
A special moment in the history of Dutch escalator is the construction of the Maas Tunnel . To the height of nearly 17 meters - 16.9 meters to be precise - to overcome for often the bicycle is chosen for special escalators, not only exceptionally long by about 41 meters , but also extra wide. In early 1940 - just before the outbreak of the war in the Netherlands - delivered the escalators were from Berlin where the factory was in Rotterdam. For the construction of the German factory worked with Stork Hijsch from Haarlem. The tunnel was opened without ceremony on February 14, 1942 : to stay out of the hands of the German and NSB propaganda was not publicized it.
At this moment they are repairing one of the escalators
There is also a special path voor cyclist and pedestrians.

One of the things I really like about shooting the sand dunes is when it becomes so dark you can barely see what you're doing. At the same time I love playing with the white balance as it picks up the colors of the late evening light. Pinks, blues, purples, and then it's just fun getting artistic when processing. This is one of those shots where I enjoyed getting creative with the light.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time for a look!

Help Chile Overcome the Earthquake Chile stepped up efforts to find survivors of an earthquake registering 8.8 magnitude that struck before dawn yesterday, killing more than 700 people, severing the country’s main highway and damaging 1.5 million homes.
The eartquake was centered 200 miles (317 kilometers) southwest of Santiago near the main winemaking region and close to Concepcion, a metropolitan region of more than 500,000 people. Highways and airports were shut by damage and some copper mines closed. The total economic damage may be as much as $30 billion, or about 15 percent of the South American country’s gross domestic product, according to estimates by disaster- scenario modeler Eqecat Inc.
We need your help to overcome the earthquake.

SUMATE A LA CAMPAÑA SOLIDARIA CHILE AYUDA A CHILE¡¡¡¡¡¡
Franka Rolfix II | Trinar 105mm | Lomography Color F² 400
There's little I enjoy more than finding an image I'd previously neglected, or better yet one that I'd worked with and abandoned. I've really no clue why I didn't spend more time with this one three years ago, but it speaks to me deeply today.
On another note, I just adore my two modest Franka folding cameras. For the entire time I've owned them I've preferred the Solida III but as time goes on I've grown to appreciate the Trinar on this Rolfix II even moreso. It's such a weird and idiosyncratic little triplet (so is the Radionar on the Solida, but it's more polite)... It will lose its mind across the frame until you reach center sometimes, but in a very subtle way that produces images that always feel like they're memories, dreams, wishes. That's how this feels to me.
“As a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born in the world, raised in the world having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world”
against all odds... here it is almost Christmas and I can find many flowers both domestic and wild... even violets and roses! With little snow hats they are ready to party!
Okay, this photo was a lot harder than it looks because it was the first time I've actually gone out here in Stockholm to take photos and I wasn't sure of where to go. This was along a running/walking path and I felt awkward the whole time. So this is about me overcoming that fear of taking self portraits in public, even if it didn't go so great this time around.
