It was love at third sight!
The rain came pouring for the first two days I was there, but then (just as I was about to go mad and drown like Ophelia), it happened: the sky lit up in bright hues of gold, pink and crimson, and I collapsed on my knees, in a state of uncontainable rapture. Oh the irony of it all: despite my sinking, I wanted to get high. Thank goodness my trusty new drone was within reach! I sent it up, just high enough to catch the reflection of the burning sky in the still waters of the pond that lay in front of me.
During our road trip last month, we stopped for an afternoon at EAA Airventure Oshkosh, an annual weeklong air show held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

……A little over done perhaps - the edit not the Burgers I hasten to add! OK, so I did over-do the sliders a tiny bit - but only because I was asked too!!! The theme for ’Smile on Saturday’ is "over-processed portrait" that makes us smile. The poor innocent butcher doing the cooking was at Mazey Day in Penzance when we were there on holiday in Cornwall - they were of course ‘done to a turn’ and looked delicious. So it’s have a HS😊S from me.…. Alan:-) - if you prefer something a little less tinkered with see the 1st comment box.....

Wikipedia: The Churches of Peace (Polish: Kościoły Pokoju, German: Friedenskirchen) in Jawor (German: Jauer) and Świdnica (German: Schweidnitz) in Silesia were named after the Peace of Westphalia of 1648 which permitted the Lutherans in the Roman Catholic parts of Silesia to build three Evangelical churches from wood, loam and straw outside the city walls, without steeples and church bells. The construction time was limited to one year. Since 2001, the two remaining churches are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The day the bad panda ruled Flickr... Finally I managed to upload Bertie's 3rd Flickr photo. I almost didn't want to upload anymore today, but then I'd have missed the MM Sparkle. So...
You know the bird (or rather: the brooch), you know the background. But maybe you haven't seen the crystal ball yet. Anyways, I knew which ingredients I wanted to use for "Sparkle" but didn't quite know how to present them so that it wouldn't look too much like my other Bert the blingy (and clingy – Bertie says "I'm a brooch, I need to be clingy") parakeet photos. In the end, the cardboard packaging with the iridescent graphical print (my phone case came in it) came to the rescue to make a slight difference to the other Bertie pictures..
I know that this image is a little over the top, but I ran out of time and didn't want to skip. At least I made Bertie happy, who had gotten a little peevish lately, constantly asking, "Silke, it's been a while since you asked me to help you with a Flickr photo. Don't you think it's about time? I feel so Flickr-ready again." So when the "Sparkle" theme was announced, there was no stopping him. "I'm the sparkliest, twinkliest member of your household, you have to make me your model again!" "Goodness, Bert, you are such a diva. OK, OK, you're in."
I also did stacking of this scene, but the image looked more natural and harmonious as a single take. As a bonus, the blur on the small crystal ball (onto which I glued Bert with the always useful modelling clay) most conveniently hides any dust or fingerprints.

………War is never this colourful!! A shot from one of the hangers at Cosford Air Museum jazzed up a bit (a lot) for ’Sliders Sunday’! Happy Sliders Sunday one and all, for the interested I’ve used only Lightroom 6 to create this colour extravaganza. Alan:-) HSS…….

M. Bianco, the highest summit in the Alps and west Europe (4.808 m 15.777 ft), taken yesterday while I was flying back to home.
I love the mountains, and i like the planes, this is a gift for the lovers of them.
