I was determined to have a beautiful wildflower meadow this year. I planted the seeds but when they tried to come up, they were completely smothered by love-in-a-mist, grown there last year, which took over the plot in an unrestrained fashion. Perhaps my wildflowers might still have a chance once delightful but dominating nigella has finished flowering.

Got to love the Model Market in Lewisham. An abandoned Victorian Market which comes alive in the Spring and Summer with great music and street food. A brilliant hang out spot in London.
Not the greatest, it's heavily cropped! These two were at it for about 20 minutes! Eye gouging, slashing and disembowelment are a few of their speciality techniques... not to be messed with!
Awakening over Suphanburi.

The breathtaking view over the Slieve League cliffs, Bunglass Point, Donegal, Ireland.
The Slieve League (Irish: Sliabh Liag) cliffs are located on the coast of County Donegal. With a maximum height of 601 metres, the Slieve League are the island of Ireland's highest sea cliffs (the highest sea cliff of all Ireland is Croaghaun with 668 m, on Achill Island, County Mayo).
The view of the Slieve League cliffs at Bunglass Point is absolutely wonderful. The two sea stacks in front of the cliffs are called the Giant's Chair and Table because of their shape and dimensions.

Het prachtige uitzicht over Melk vanaf de Abdij van Melk
Het stadje ligt aan de rand van de Wachau, een gedeelte van het Donaudal waar veel wijnbouw plaatsvindt en dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van de UNESCO staat.
Gedurende de winter en regenrijke zomers kan Melk onder water raken door een hoge waterstand in de Donau.
In de 19e eeuw waren driemaal zeer hoge waterstanden. In 2013 stonden ook delen van Melk onder water. In tegenstelling tot elders in de Wachau was er in Melk geen metalen muur opgebouwd om het water tegen te houden.

The town lies on the edge of the Wachau, a part of the Danube valley where a lot of viticulture takes place and which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
During the winter and rainy summers, Melk can be submerged by high water levels in the Danube.
In the 19th century there were three times very high water levels. In 2013, parts of Melk were also under water. Unlike elsewhere in the Wachau, no metal wall had been built up in Melk to block the water.
An early-evening rainbow appears over the surf, as a storm blows out to sea.

I was walking along a country path near home when I smelled a gorgeous scent. Unusual. Then I saw why: a bunch of wisteria was escaping from the garden behind the stone bricks. How many of you have had, at least once in your life, the wish to escape?

My old friends, Though I have not spent time lately due to the pressures of life but I must do so as it is so rewarding especially a bird so skittish and difficult to photograph well.

The engineer has backed off on the throttle as the top of the hill out of the Missouri River valley is about where the train disappears behind the trees.
Another nice patch of mowed grass with the added bonus of a cool old vator highlights the shot at Wilton. The timing was perfect because the tree shadows were nearly to the track.
