I am posting photos from the the very end of our trip first...mostly because my father is very excited to see them. We went to Česky Krumlov to visit the distant past and learn more about the Rožemberk connection to our family.
The tallest tower is a watch tower and the large building on the left hand side is the Česky Krumlov castle.
There are many ways to describe rain and this image tells why Singaporean calls it pouring!! The approaching storm clouds simply "dumps" its water onto that small area. If you are among those under, only one word to describe you after - drenched!

A male common blue butterfly basking on the lower slopes of the Bill Smyllie field at Prestbury Hill nature reserve near Cheltenham.
This is a panorama of the Fischunkelalm with the Obersee, which is a lake beside the Königssee in the Berchtesgaden Alps. I was impressed by the clean reflections of the mountains and the complete scenery.
The pano is stitched from 6 vertical shots.

I'm home for the weekend, but took this New Year day when I stopped by the house to grab a few things. The parking lot is where I stop when I have a trailer and only staying for a few hours. It's only a couple of miles from the house. Kmart was here, but closed a few months ago. Anyway, I was leaving but wanted to get a picture of the mountains and clouds, I noticed a father with his kids playing with a radio controlled car, this being one of the few places nearby with a little dry pavement, and competently empty... well, except for the big semi and trailer.
