This picture was taken from Skyline trail . August is an amazing season in Mt Rainier NP. The meadows bloom with colorful wild flowers. I've been there several times in August, and always enjoy the natural beauty of this park.

Capela do Senhor da Pedra (The Chapel of the Lord of Stone), standing on the top of a small hill of stones, surrounded with waves crashing on the rocks.

Nothing more fulfilling, relaxing, rejuvenating and humbling than being in the mountains !

This is at the Himalayan town of Manali.

We friends, went to this valley for some adventure sports, but sadly the rain gods had their own games to play !

But nonetheless, the rains always add to the beauty of any time and place and these were the mountains :)

There are many ways to describe rain and this image tells why Singaporean calls it pouring!! The approaching storm clouds simply "dumps" its water onto that small area. If you are among those under, only one word to describe you after - drenched!

My first real view of Dartmoor, Devon. Grey Wethers Stone Circles are just visible down from the horizon on the left hand side. Zeiss ExoLens (Wide-Angle), Manfrotto Tripod, Hisy remote, ever so gently tickled in Snapseed on iPad Air.

Mt. Robson (3,954 m = 12,972 ft), is also known as "Cloud Cap Mountain" and by climbers as the "Great White Fright."

With 2,975 m (9,760 ft) elevation gain from the valley floor below it is a difficult challenge for those brave enough to climb it.

One of many remarkable peaks of the Canadian Rockies.

Happy Friday!

I liked the colour combination of these beach huts :)

Thanks for all the kind comments and favs on yesterday's beach and flower shots :)

This is Boarhills Parish Church, which is just outside St. Andrews.

Ormai fa piuttosto freddo, questi erano gli ultimi giorni di spiaggia in un magnifico deserto, o quasi.

Notare qui sotto la trasparenza dell'acqua a Spotorno.

First "real" snow in this winter... and new snow is in approach.

A nice building in the Kurpark of Herrsching am Ammersee. This slightly castle-like villa was built in 1888 by painter Ludwig Scheuermann as a summer residence.
