Tofane:

la Tofana di Rozes (o di Roces), 3.225 m s.l.m., la più meridionale;

la Tofana di Mezzo (o Seconda), 3.244 m s.l.m., la più elevata;

The Rabelo boat is a traditional Portuguese cargo boat that for centuries was used to transport people and goods along the Douro River.

Native from the Douro region, it does not exist in any other place of the world. Its history is closely linked to the production and trade of port wine. Before the arrival of the railway, the rabelo was the fastest and the most efficient means of transport between the Douro Valley, where port wine is produced, and the city of Porto, where it was traded and exported worldwide.

Found along the beach looking east in Robert Moses State Park, Long Island, NY. Temperature outside was about 22F with about a 15-20kt wind. The two photographers in the center give you a little perspective of how wide the beach area is.

Thanks for your visit and comments, I appreciate that very much!

Yosemite get sum!

Cada día ella bajaba

al lago a descansar.

Nunca nadie la veía,

mas la luz que descendía

siempre se hacía notar.

Yo no necesito verte,

Ueno Park (上野公園) is one of the oldest public parks in Japan, created in 1873. The land had formerly belonged to the temple Kan'ei-ji (full name Tōeizan Kan'ei-ji Endon-in, 東叡山寛永寺円頓院), a temple closely associated with the Tokugawa family. But many of its building had been destroyed at the battle of Ueno in 1868, and after that most of the land was turned over to the city of Tokyo.

Today the park houses several museums, temples and a zoo and is one of the most popular parks in Japan, counting some 10 million visitors a year.
