A shot taken outside the Adelaide Goal. This railway track has no barrier throughout so anyone can just walk onto the track but of coz not when the train is coming :P This track links to the main train station where maintenances or repair of the carriages are carried out.

Have a nice day!
Davis Creek Falls is a nice cascade found in the north Georgia mountains (outside of Helen, and near Raven Cliff Falls) while hiking to the larger (and very different) Duke's Creek Falls. If my information is correct, both falls are actually on Davis Creek, but Duke's Creek Falls is found essentially where the two creeks converge, thus leading to the different name. Sometimes you see the falls shown here referred to as 'Duke's Creek Falls #1', as it's encountered first on the trail. Once you descend the steep stairs coming down from the parking area, pay attention to the steep gorge on the right - this is where this falls is found. A nice little muddy scramble is required to get down to the creek level. I bet in high water conditions this is a pretty powerful waterfall - not so much in the low water of late summer!
This was taken from a pull out on the way to Hume Lake in Kings Canyon National Park. Last year this area burned for months from a raging wildfire. It burned thousands of acres of forest land. The smoke was covering both sides of the Sierras in this area. There were days in Fresno when you couldn't hardly walk outside it was so bad.
We couldn't drive back into the river area because of the snowy conditions and it is still closed from the fire. This vista shows a mostly bald mountain now. If you press L you can see a lot of dead pines looking like black toothpicks now. Mother Nature can sure show her mean side sometimes. On the plus side, all this snow will really help out with out drought.
You gotta love slider Sunday. At least I do. It gives me a chance to take an image like this, dip it in Topaz, and poof, I get a cool shot..:)
I didn't make it to Fredricksburg after all..:( Maybe next month.
to my fellow Canadians....even though it looks like Christmas outside my window I'm thankful that I had at least 16 hours of Fall this year. Lucky i don't sleep in or i would have missed this shot. Don't let this warm shot decieve you because I'm actually standing on ice while taking it. My fingers were stiffening up...I guess they haven't adjusted to the Great White North yet. They were so cold i couldn't even flip Doc "the bird" if he was here.
Loch Lubnaig lies in the heart of the Trossachs and within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, an area of some significant beauty with a great number of hills, mountains and lochs. It is an area where it is so easy to enjoy many outdoor pursuits but on such a tranquil day as today, it really was nice to be able to appreciate the serenity that it offered.
Noch ein Bild von diesem tollen Herbstmorgen (und nicht das letzte), für den sich das frühe Aufstehen gelohnt hat.
One more photo of that wonderful autumn morning, that was worth getting up so early.
Some Kitsch always proves to be going well these days. ;-)
Oh, and yes: "Orange and Blue" ... I get it.
But orange and blue also exist outside of Florida!
Live with it, folks! ;-)
For Sliders Sunday.

The Colosseum Rome and even in the early morning the queue begins to snake. Well worth the visit to this awesome place.
Outside of a house in my street. I blame the owners, not the dogs. Unfortunately, this sign is necessary.

When you like a flower, you just pluck it. But when you love a flower, you water it daily.
Cuando te gusta una flor, simplemente la arrancas. Pero cuando te encanta, la riegas a diario

Beskrajna Radost:
U miru i spokoju osluškuj svoje srce i čućeš predivnu pesmu svoje duše, što nije ništa drugo nego radost koju tražiš svuda unaokolo, a ona je ustvari u tebi skrivena!

Another attempt at Martin's Get Pushed challenge. I've got a bit closer this time and there's some stars thrown in. It looks quite strange, what with the dying light, fast travelling clouds over 120 seconds, various cheap filters combining and trying to light things up a bit with a torch. But I am pleased. It is certainly different.
The day didn't start too badly as I had a puncture, so I couldn't get to the garage on time for the slot I'd already booked the day before to have the exhaust checked out. I also wanted to replace every bulb on the car just to stop the incessant warning signals beeping telling me that bulbs have gone when they haven't. It's like sharing the car with R2D2. With R2D2 on whatever the droid equivalent of speed is.
We've been having a terrible cold spell and it is tricky trying to shoot after dark, or outside at all really. It is a bit wearing to be permanently cold. For this, I blame the absent minded spell I seem to be having. A colleague in my office was looking in the top drawer of a filing cabinet, blocking my path. Totally without thinking, I pushed her in the back like she was an extension of the drawer, so I could get by. I know treating women is objects is wrong, but this was just ridiculous. I apologised profusely of course!
This image was taken just outside of Tucson Arizona as a monsoon cloud cell exploded almost directly overhead. The lightning was coming down everywhere in all directions and the thunder was definitely rolling. I was amazed to see a star field in the night sky during this event.
This was to be the last night of monsoon chasing for me this year and it didn't disappoint.
