The theme for Crazy Tuesday this week is outdated.

Plastic fruit was once all of the rage. Everyone had to have plastic fruit in their kitchen or dining room as a decoration. These days, decorating with plastic fruit is very outdated.

This particular bowl and the fruit within, once belonged to my mother. It was a gift to her from my grandmother on my father's side. In other words, her Mother-in-Law gave it to her.

Although decorating with plastic fruit is very outdated, I will not part with this arrangement. It's been in my life since I was born.

I am curious, do any of you have plastic fruit sitting around as part of your décor? This bowl sits on the side table in my rose room.

Have a terrific Tuesday and happy snapping.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Happy Teddy Bear Tuesdays. Also we have another awesome theme at Crazy Tuesday: Outdated.

Princess wanted to take few pictures of her and Mr. Teddy Bear together. Since it was a very, very spontaneous idea, Mr. Teddy Bear suggested a home photo session. When he was living in Russia, during his circus career, he was a very passionate photographer. He took pictures of everything and everywhere ! He had always his camera with him. Which was very difficult and heavy since Mr. Teddy bear is a miniature but he didn’t want a tiny camera… Yes, we all know that size doesn’t matter, but still Mr. Teddy Bear prefers to have a huge camera dangling on his neck…

So while Princess was trying some more appropriate clothes for the photo session, Mr. Teddy bear took his huge camera out and started to set everything in place…. That is when he realized that his camera was very, very outdated… But it doesn’t matter… even with an outdated equipment you can make miracles ;-).

Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! See you later my friends, I have another morning meeting today !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

---

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Ufa film studios, the color film "Münchhausen," produced at great expense and with a star-studded cast, was released in 1943 - in the middle of World War II. It told the life story of the well-known and popular "Liar Baron" Hieronymus von Münchhausen - as was fitting for a film commissioned by the Minister of Propaganda himself. The film was expressly intended to be an entertainment film and not a propaganda film. The screenplay was written by the writer Erich Kästner, who was actually banned from his profession, under a pseudonym. Despite strict censorship, some dialogues contain potentially subversive statements. For example, Münchausen replies to his servant Christian when the latter, looking at the baron's watch, sais that either the watch must be broken, or time itself: "Time is broken, Christian."

That's all there is to say today, too.

I don't use this spoon anymore but still keep it💕

The Silette L was the first Agfa camera with built-in exposure meter, it went into production in 1955 and went on sale in 1956. This exposure meter was uncoupled, thus had its own adjustment wheel, and – like all electronic exposure meters of its time – worked with a selenium cell.

Although some radios do not work quite well or not at all, and the cassette tapes I only have a music chain where I can listen to them, I still resist abandoning them or throwing them away, although I suppose and sadly that sometime I will be forced to to get rid of everything that fulfilled its cycle and that now I keep in a more and more full storage room.😄

--------------------------------- o O o ------------------------------------------------

Analogue appointment / date books of years past ... outdated in two respects - at least if you ask the younger generation ... handwritten scheduling seems to be an alien concept to them ; ))

The book of 2020 remained almost empty, at least after mid March

I don't keep all date books of yesteryears, but some I still have tucked away in my drawer to look through from time to time

No wonder why I’m always broke 😀

I'm in the process of clearing out all kinds of things. Lots of magazines, old paper samples, print proof copies and, above all, office paperwork – yes, even books will still have to believe in them ;-) – end up in the paper garbage can. And since metal has no place in the waste paper, I neatly pulled off these old paper clips. And I will probably keep these little ones, at least the unbent ones – even if I will most likely not use them anymore. An outdated method – because: who still prints something today and then staples it together?

///

I love outdated tulips, even more beautiful then the fresh ones.

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

The first functioning large rocket, Aggregat 4 (A4, which became known as the "retaliatory weapon" (Vergeltungswaffe) V2), was developed and tested at the Army Research Center. The A4/V2 rocket was propelled by a mixture of diluted alcohol and liquid oxygen. For its production, a dedicated large-scale production plant was built (today under monument protection).

The RDC-2 is a scaled down version of the RDC-1 without the ability to capture moving video. It has a dual focal length lens equivalent to a 35mm/55mm lens on a 35mm camera. It has five recording modes; still image, still image with sound, sound only, document mode, and continuous (aka motor drive) shooting mode. The RDC-2 has a built in flash - the RDC-2E does not. The RDC-2 comes in a variety of what they call "packages" bundled with various flash memory cards, LCD monitor and etc.

Was given an old software editing program from a friend & it's outdated enough that it can't process my Raw photos lol! Trying to work with what I have. Any feedback is appreciated.

Back in the days when nearly all men wore a hat this little Portable Hat Brush kept the hat in tip top condition :)

It measures 2 inches by 2 1/2 inches and was possibly kept in a wallet or top pocket. Natural bristles held in a thin leather pouch. Circa 1930's.

In the engine of the "Cap San Diego". The "Cap San Diego" is a still seaworthy museum ship (built in 1961) and is moored at the Overseas Bridge (in German: "Überseebrücke") at the Port of Hamburg.

(“Vorwärts immer, rückwärts nimmer” (“Forward always, backward never!”) was quoted by Erich Honecker (1976-1989 General Secretary of the Central Committee of the German Socialist Unity Party ("SED") and Chairman of the State Council of the GDR) in his ceremonial address on the 40th anniversary of the GDR on October 7, 1989, but was scooped up earlier and is also part of the text of an older military march. In German, "voraus" means "ahaed” and "zurück" means "back".)

This is a close up of the lens arrangement of my new (very old) mid 1950s Carl Zeiss Werra 1. It’s a minimalist rangefinder (replete with olive green leatherette) style 35mm camera that I fell in love at first sight with at a local antique shop that seems to have sprung up in a local town.

It may be minimal but it is the most complicated thing to operate ever, and have had to look at so many YouTube videos just to get film into it and shoot a few frames! It seems to wind on but the shutter sounds suspiciously the same no matter what I set it to so it could well be #Outdated or #Knackered

I (eventually) loaded in a 36 exposure film, but with the weather being absolutely atrocious at the moment it may be a while before I find out if it’s a runner or not! It’s the first time ever I’ve had to use a light metre to work out the exposure, even my 1970s Chinon SLR has a rudimentary one built in, luckily there’s an app for that!
