Yesterday was a good one, I spent most of the day at the lake with a friend getting a bit of a tan on :D I'd also forgotten my swimsuit, but had a spare dress in my backpack (featured, it really doesn't fit lol) so went swimming in it instead! Then I went and had a drink at the restaurant where I used to work, and this morning I'm considering getting another tattoo I've been planning for a while. Waaaay more relaxing than the weekends I've recently had.
I will be going on a cross-USA road-trip later this summer, does anyone have any destination suggestions?!?! We have two weeks and will be starting out in Chapel Hill, NC and ending up in Los Angeles. Is it worth stopping by New Orleans, or should that be a separate trip altogether??

Another ubiquitous outbound Metra train passes underneath the classic Pennsylvania Railroad position lights at Racine Ave. Sadly, the classic signals have been removed, surviving long after its brethren were removed. SV Matthew outbound at Sea mills signal station on River Avon.
the watch keeper will have signed off with docks radio as it sails past Sea mills and calls Avonmouth docks to advise in their stretch of the river and if they intend to go outbound into the Bristol Channel. Both signals will have confirmed numbers of crew and if passengers carried and how many.
the main yards are "cockbilled" so it is unlikely they will go out to sea but will return back to Bristol at Avonmouth bridge.
It was also raining hard at the time
NS V07 arrives in the CWRY yard waiting for a Norfolk Southern crew to take it to Norfolk for outbounds to citys like Chicago, Columbus, and many more.
A Union Pacific coal train holds clear of the Elmhurst depot to allow a Metra outbound to do its thing. Even with multiple tracks at their disposal, it is necessary to halt trains when Metra arrives to prevent the sheepeople from walking around the downed gates and getting kerplatted by oncoming trains.
Back in the day, that coal train would just keep rolling since the past generations knew better than to walk onto active tracks. Today's special snowflakes do not comprehend common sense so they need to have their special hands held for their own good.
