Going to in-n-out after school on Fridays is always funnn. Speaking of Fridays, I'm so glad it's the weekend ;D ! The weekends always seem to go by way too fast though.
But on the bright side, it's almost my spring break! So I guess that's good :P
Look out to sea from Land's End and you will almost always see a cargo ship on the horizon. In fact, the shipping lanes around Land's End are busy enough to have their own Traffic Separation Scheme, a traffic-management route-system ruled by the International Maritime Organization or IMO.

The Scrub Jays found us before we found them. As soon as they figured out we had nothing for them they flew off and watched us from a distance.
Wounded Warrior Marine Tim Horton catches the ball to tag out ABC news anchor Steve Chenevey at second base during the Wounded Warrior Amputee Celebrity Softball Classic at the Nationals’ ballpark in Washington April 3. Horton, from San Antonio, is part of the Washington Nationals Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team made up of veterans and active duty service members from across the U.S., who lost limbs while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. Using the latest in prosthetic technology, these athletes travel the country to play able-bodied opponents to bring attention to the sacrifice and resilience of military service members. The wounded warriors won 17-4.

This was a good pic for TOTW for this week, especially on Sunday, the unoffical smeary mascara day. I usually hide behind sunglasses on Sundays, but not today, ya just dont get to see my face at all.
I just looked at the calender and it is going to be August on Saturday. That is so unbelievable, it has not even really seemed like summer yet, it cant be almost over. My daughter goes back to school in 25 days, that is crazy. I didnt even get a sunburn yet, only a couple of mosquito bites. I saw lighning bugs last night, that was abit summery...
This little critter got caught in our conservatory at the end of last summer, with a little assistance he got out

These Macbeths were gifted to me several years ago, about as you see them here. Another pair that I really enjoy wearing. I do enjoy the condition of the uppers. Just about perfect.

A Blow Out Preventer from the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum in Galveston, Texas.
"A blow out preventer, or BOP, is a vital part of drilling operations. Several of these valves are installed at the wellhead, and can be closed against in increase in pressure, which is called a "kick." On a shallow water jackup rig like the Ocean Star, the BOP would be installed over a large diameter casing at the durface, while on deep water floating rigs, the BOP sits on the ocean floor."
Took this shot yesterday..(Friday 19/03/10) it rained all day long.. and these daffodils 'Narcissus' are almost lying flat.. with the weight of rain on them..!! Welcoming the start of spring.. :)
Today is the 'Vernal Equinox'.. So it is now spring.. Yippee..!!

Out and about again!
Took to the business end of my camera this morning and visited the wharves at Rozelle Bay. Here I caught up with tunnel bits awaiting their bogies at The Bays station - on Metro West. Apprently, the first tunnel boring machine (TBM) has commenced its drill towards the Olympic site, and has already cleared the abandoned power station and Victoria Road. Already twenty eight 'bits' like the pictures have been moved on site - they will make up the second of the TBMs heading for Olympic Park Station. There, they will be turned around and sent back to Rozelle.
The two Barangaroo pictures show the start of Barangaroo Station on the CBD Metro.
All go on two of the Metros in Sydney.
