The story follows a Medjay named Bayek, and explores the origins of the centuries-long conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins, who fight for peace by promoting liberty, and The Order of the Ancients—forerunners to the Templar Order—who desire peace through the forced imposition of order.

Party thrown at Octavio Café in São Paulo on 08/17/2009 to celebrate the introduction of five international single origin coffees in the café in Brazil.
There were six stations, each with one barista brewing of the international coffees (Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Ethiopia, Colombia and Costa Rica) plus the Octavio blend from the Fazenda Nossa Senhora Aparecida.
Visitors included Dr Quércia and his family, the mayor of São Paulo, actors/actresses, customers, suppliers and representatives of specialty coffee publications. There was a "pocket show" of Claudio Zolli to entertain all guests.
The international single-origin coffees will be served in the café in São Paulo and also be made available for purchase in 250g retail bags.

Origin: United States. Circa: 1870. Period: 19th Century. The partnership of Buff and Berger was formed in 1870 in Boston and dissolved in October 1898. Each opened their own shop. One of America's finest nineteenth century inventions, the American Transiting Theodolite, more commonly called the Transit, was first built by George Louis Buff (1837-1923) shortly after the end of the Civil War. Theodolites had been in use in Europe for many years but George Buff significantly improved the accuracy of the instrument by adding a transiting telescope, a central compass, double horizontal verniers and a vertical vernier. Alle origini dell’arte nella civiltà urbana dell’Oriente antico” dell’archeologo Paolo Matthiae, professore all’università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza, l’Ateneo pavese ha inaugurato, il 7 dicembre 2012 i corsi di Dottorato di Ricerca 2012-2013 e consegnato i diplomi ai neo-dottori.
Sono attualmente 610 i dottorandi di Pavia, 59 stranieri. L’Università di Pavia ha attivato 26 corsi di dottorato di ricerca, organizzati in cinque Scuole, coordinate dalla prof.ssa Guglielmina Nadia Ranzani: Scienze umanistiche, Scienze e Tecnologie “Alessandro Volta”, Scienze dell’Ingegneria, Scienze sociali e Scienze della vita “Camillo Golgi”. 18 corsi prevedono una co-tutela internazionale e la partecipazione a progetti di ricerca in cooperazione con enti di ricerca e Università di tutto il mondo.
Paolo Matthiae insegna Archeologia e storia dell'arte del Vicino Oriente antico all'Università di Roma La Sapienza, dove è stato Preside della Facoltà di Scienze Umanistiche e Pro-Rettore. Ha intrapreso gli scavi di Ebla nel 1964 e tuttora li dirige. È accademico dei Lincei, di Francia, d'Austria, e di Svezia. Ha pubblicato numerosi libri e articoli relativi a Ebla e alla storia dell'arte della Mesopotamia e della Siria in genere; in essi, partendo dall'esperienza condotta sul campo, ha intrapreso una revisione critica del ruolo storico della Siria nel quadro delle civiltà del Vicino Oriente. Autore di un'ampia Storia dell'arte dell'Oriente antico (Electa 1996-2002), che sta completando con un quarto volume, ha scritto numerosi saggi soprattutto sull'arte dell'antica Mesopotamia. Tra le sue opere piú recenti, oltre Ebla. Un impero ritrovato (Einaudi 1977, 1989, 1995), si ricordano Prima lezione di archeologia orientale (Laterza 2005), Gli Archivi Reali di Ebla (Mondadori-Sapienza 2008) e Ebla. Dylan is an old fashioned boy, enjoying the simple delights in life. For him a perfect day is starting with a bowl of cornflakes with nice cold milk and then taking a stroll with his shiney red bucket and spade down to the beach. His name Dylan is of Welsh origin and means "son of the sea", really it couldn't be more appropriate for this little teddy bear. You should see just how happy his face is when he is making one of his grand sand castles, waiting for the sea to rise and fill the moat! His cute little button nose twitches with delight as the sand tickles his paws!

This elegant example of the Venetian art of mirror and glass making showcases the various aspects that have made these mirrors objects of desire for hundreds of years. Please use the zoom feature offered on our website to enlarge the additional photographs in order to see the components that create this beautiful mirror. As a bit of history the inventive skill of Venetian glass and mirror makers lay in their understanding of how to take the technical limitations of their time and use them to highly decorative advantage. When mirrors were first invented and able to be made in an ongoing manner the entire industry was removed from Venice proper to the isolated island of Murano to limit the danger to the city if a fire was to break out. Until the later eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries large sheets of mirror glass were not able to be made with any great quality control so large and grand mirrors were assembled from smaller pieces and built up within frames that could support a multitude of separate pieces of mirror glass.
