The Orient Express visited Denmark on its way to Venice. Too bad it had to have a Danish locomotive in the front and the mist made it hard to get a clear shot...
The 'secret' Orient Express formed of genuine heritage cars is based in Paris and is used exclusively by SNCF French railways for its supported charites and for its own corporate use.
The Pullman Orient Express is an authentic train in the style of the genuine Orient Express. The decor, staff uniforms and cuisine are faithful to the original 1920s / 1930s trains.
After long months I found some time to record my Orient Exp in action with steam, sound & lights.
Steam from vaporizer bought on Aliexpress (many thanks to BigZ31 for inspiration and hints), sound from fxbricks.com, lights - custom LED. All of these controlled by PFX brick.
Tracks + ballasts from trixbrix.eu customized by me with metallic silver paint :))
Driver Don Clarke takes 35028 Clan Line and the VSOE British Pullman into London Victoria for the final time at the end of his farewell steam excursion before retirement. His son Jim Clarke joined him on the footplate. Seen here just after 4pm at the bottom of Grosvenor Bank and about to enter Victoria with a final pull on the whistle following the usual Surrey Hills afternoon trip.

Certainly the best-known luxury train, travelling on the ‘Orient Express’ is considered an essential rite of passage for anyone seeking sophisticated experiences and life-long memories.
The legendary Orient Express train is a work of art in itself and a true Art Deco icon that is famous the world over. Romance, adventure and the mystery of the past are all intimately bound up in journeys that visit some of the most alluring continental cites. As with many trains of this style, it is evocative of a more gracious, elegant age of travel. Delightful vintage cabins, gastronomic cuisine with delicious afternoon teas and exquisite four course dinners along with lively on-board entertainment make a journey aboard this iconic train one of the world’s finest travel experiences.

Superlative service, graciously offered, in the sumptuous surroundings of a luxury train from the same stable as the Venice Simplon-Orient Express.
Experience a panoramic view of the mystical landscapes of Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Laos. The bygone Colonial era of Singapore Slings, afternoon tea and a tinkling piano amidst sumptuous surroundings conjures up a forgotten world. Along with carriages incorporating Eastern motifs and themes, it is as exotic as it sounds.
The majesty and splendour of the Eastern & Oriental Express (E&O) with its comfortable, elegant lounges and suites, panoramic windows, delicious cuisine and superb service, combined with the adventure of a journey through the heart of Asia, is a truly unique way to experience the full wonder of this remarkable region.
Within the variety of the tours one can – cross Malaysia via the causeway of the Straits of Johor; travel up the Malay Peninsula through lush palm plantations before pausing by the Moorish splendour of Kuala Lumpur station; visit Penang to discover the mosques and colourful shophouses of Georgetown; feel the atmospheric thick jungle crowding in around the train passing through southern Thailand; pass small villages and hill top temples en-route to Kanchanaburi and the infamous Bridge over the River Kwai; wander around the capital city of Laos, Vientiane, with its gilded Buddhist temples alongside French colonial architecture; enjoy the bustling, vibrant city of Bangkok with its wonderful temples and markets; amble around Singapore with its history and the elegant Raffles; have the experience of guided tours and lectures; ride elephants - and so much more.

Grace Kelly, Princess Grace of Monaco, frequently travelled on the 'Côte d'Azur' train service between Paris and Monaco. This car was used on the Côte d'Azur route in the 1920s and 1930s.
Carriages very similar to this one (perhaps the very one?) and chef-prepared, steward-served fine dining are available from Train Chartering and Private Rail Cars.

The Venice Simplon-Orient Express train is a work of art in itself - a true Art Deco icon that is famous the world over.
Romance, glamour, adventure and the mystery of the past are all intimately bound up in journeys that visit some of the most alluring continental cites. Few trains still exist from a more gracious, elegant age of travel. This lovingly maintained train is a worthy inheritor of the legend that is 'Orient Express'.
Air-conditioned vintage cabins, delicious afternoon teas and exquisite dining with lively on-board entertainment make a journey aboard this icon, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, one of the world's finest travel experiences.
The General Manager of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, Pascal Deyrolle, says, "“Dinner, much like the 1920 era, is theater. People come here for the atmosphere—you have afternoon tea, dress for dinner and enjoy a postprandial drink in the bar car. It’s very similar to the aristocratic life of the old days.”
Yes I know there are 3 pics of the same train in virtually identical positions, but I can't get enough of a solo 37 working the "Orient Express"! LoL. 37419 leads 5Z39 Cadder Yard - Edinburgh Waverley "Northern Belle" ECS at Greenhill Upper Jnct with 37423 and 37602 out of sight on the rear. These two locos then worked the train to Oban.
