The 'secret' Orient Express formed of genuine heritage cars is based in Paris and is used exclusively by SNCF French railways for its supported charites and for its own corporate use.
The Pullman Orient Express is an authentic train in the style of the genuine Orient Express. The decor, staff uniforms and cuisine are faithful to the original 1920s / 1930s trains.
I traveled far and wide this evening. To far off lands and exotic locales. The air heavily perfumed with spices. Languages overheard that I could not understand. Or could I? Or maybe I was just downtown, enjoying the annual revelry known as Holiday in Dixie. I met two friends of mine that I haven't seen in a while after work. We had a good time. It was nice catching up. Also, we walked quite a bit downtown and on the riverfront. Which is good, because today was my first day of "training" for a 5K walk coming up in a few months for WW. I know that 3.1 miles is not much, but I am hoping to complete the 5K very quickly. Not at my normal leisurely pace. I abhor exercise, so I needed something to work towards. The 5K was just the thing. So, I am a team of one. My team name? Deep in the Heart of Dyxie. : )

Certainly the best-known luxury train, travelling on the ‘Orient Express’ is considered an essential rite of passage for anyone seeking sophisticated experiences and life-long memories.
The legendary Orient Express train is a work of art in itself and a true Art Deco icon that is famous the world over. Romance, adventure and the mystery of the past are all intimately bound up in journeys that visit some of the most alluring continental cites. As with many trains of this style, it is evocative of a more gracious, elegant age of travel. Delightful vintage cabins, gastronomic cuisine with delicious afternoon teas and exquisite four course dinners along with lively on-board entertainment make a journey aboard this iconic train one of the world’s finest travel experiences.

Superlative service, graciously offered, in the sumptuous surroundings of a luxury train from the same stable as the Venice Simplon-Orient Express; need I say more?
Experience a panoramic view of the mystical landscapes of Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Laos. The bygone Colonial era of Singapore Slings, afternoon tea and a tinkling piano amidst sumptuous surroundings conjures up a forgotten world. Along with carriages incorporating Eastern motifs and themes, it is as exotic as it sounds.
The majesty and splendour of the Eastern & Oriental Express (E&O) with its comfortable, elegant lounges and suites, panoramic windows, delicious cuisine and superb service, combined with the adventure of a journey through the heart of Asia, is a truly unique way to experience the full wonder of this remarkable region.
Within the variety of the tours one can – cross Malaysia via the causeway of the Straits of Johor; travel up the Malay Peninsula through lush palm plantations before pausing by the Moorish splendour of Kuala Lumpur station; visit Penang to discover the mosques and colourful shophouses of Georgetown; feel the atmospheric thick jungle crowding in around the train passing through southern Thailand; pass small villages and hill top temples en-route to Kanchanaburi and the infamous Bridge over the River Kwai; wander around the capital city of Laos, Vientiane, with its gilded Buddhist temples alongside French colonial architecture; enjoy the bustling, vibrant city of Bangkok with its wonderful temples and markets; amble around Singapore with its history and the elegant Raffles; have the experience of guided tours and lectures; ride elephants - and so much more.

Tarabya Summer Palace Oteli, Orient Express seferlerini gerçekleştiren Wagons-Lits’in kurduğu Uluslararası Büyük Oteller Şirketi tarafından 1894’te açıldı.

Experience the world-class Orient Express style in one day on the British Pullman, with a wealth of journeys from which to choose, starting from and returning to London as well as other favourite cities and towns in Great Britain.
The British Pullman takes its name from George Mortimer Pullman, an American, who in 1864 built The Pioneer, the first railway carriage designed with true comfort for the passenger. The later creation of the Pullman Car Company in 1882 led to his domination of luxury train travel in the US and later, Great Britain. Rail cars based on the principles of full-service Pullman rail travel were included in many trains across Europe. After a period of decline in the second half of the twentieth century, the Venice-Simplon Orient Express led the way in introducing the travelling public to the delights of luxury trains once again, resulting in this sister train that has carried Royalty and Heads of State around Great Britain.
Step aboard and be taken back to the heyday of great train travel.
