the guy with the fur on his hat took the oppurtunity to crossshoot ..

this one taken from my previous event at KL Live.

the rapture killed the stage with their damn tight performance.

same goes with LapSap.

now i know how does it feels like when you're on stage.

thanks to Edwin from They Will Kiss Us All who give me the oppurtunity to cover the event that night.

is that I loved being in North Carolina, although the reason for being there wasn't a good one.

I got the oppurtunity to meet a lot of Dan's family and friends, and had the pleasure of helping his mom and dad in a hard time.

I love it up there. It's just so different from here, and I think that could be something Dan and I both need.

I wish I could say that I took this photo... well technically I did - clicked the button that is. But the artsy side of this shot is all because of sir Vic Sison- the famous Filipino Paintography Artist.

I first heard that word during our basic photography session in FPPF. But it was in our advanced class that I truly understood what paintography meant. TO PAINT WITH LIGHT LITERALLY. Seeing sir Vic demonstrate it seemed so easy but when I tried it myself, I couldnt produce the same result. Obviously it takes a lot of practice to produce such an amazing photo- with no photoshop involved. But now that I know how, its a matter of time before I could create a real light painted masterpiece. Big Thanks to sir VIC SISON for introducing the concept! And to FPPF -of course- for the oppurtunity.

If,polavaram project takes place we will miss such a nice oppurtunity to eyewitness the beauty of this GODAVARI.

Tom Hall played at Harvest Sessions on Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Harvest Sessions is presented by KDHX Community Media, The Whitaker Foundation and Tower Grove Farmers' Market and takes place every Saturday at the West Pool Pavilion in Tower Grove Park for the duration of Tower Grove Farmers' Market's regular season. Tom Hall has been performing for over twenty years and has won national and local acclaim for his exceptional blues guitar work. Harvest Sessions is free and open to the public.

Tom Hall has played in countless bands, but his solo performances truly capture audiences. He wanders through the sounds of Argentina, Ireland and Africa, but he always returns to his musical roots. When he is playing Mississippi-inspired blues, he shines like his signature National guitar. If you have not yet seen Hall play live, don't miss this oppurtunity to catch one of St. Louis' most talented artists.

The 2007 inaugural season of Harvest Sessions has featured great concerts from local and regional performers. With Tower Grove Farmers' Market as the backdrop, Harvest Sessions also hosted an International and Children's Series that proved very popular in the community. KDHX Community Media, The Whitaker Foundation and Tower Grove Farmers' Market are proud to sponsor this free concert series on Saturday morning.

Day 2 of our diving adventures began on dive site 777, followed by Tuna Alley. Our first oppurtunity to spear the invasive Lion Fish as well, there are many videos to go with this set of photos. An amazing day, started with a fantastic breakfast cooked on board.

She was first to model for me.....so inspired as I had not gotten any oppurtunity to shoot kids....a whole lots different as they (kids) can become impatient. She was near pro level as I had to shoot this repeatedly a few times to get it right..under the heating sun,.

This photo was taken after my worst night of sleep ever, in a tent near a roadhouse close to Tom Price. We had to get up early to go swimming at the spectaculair Karijini Waterfalls before the crowds would appear. If it wasn't for our busdriver, we would have missed this photo oppurtunity, because everyone was fast asleep.

I have been feeding this fox and finally got an oppurtunity to photo him in day light. Fabulous animal.

A cherished project of mine to capture and document the life by the gigantic river Brahmaputra that enters India in the north-eastern frontier state of Arunachal, travels through Assam and has its confluence with the ocean in Bengal.

I have been having discussions with quite a few eminent who have been born an brought up on the banks of this river. I have just started the project as I my work has started taking me to Dibrugarh University where I have become a catalyst to empower the youth of Assam. It is a blessing.

a different kind of valentines gift was given to some unfortunate kids, some of which have special needs.. the kids were so happy and loved! I was given the oppurtunity to cover this outreach program sponsored by the students and parents of Candent learning house.

On one of the early morning I stepped out of the room into a thick fog. Fogs can ruin a day for the photographer; but sometimes can offer interesting oppurtunities also as it adds a mystery esp before dawn.

This shot was taken around 5AM in Charles Bridge, Prague.

My series deals with the oppurtunities that a destructing collapse offers

for innovative and creative ideas. My intention is to show that an end is

simultaneously a new beginning and always succeeded by another sequence,

whereby occasionally destruction is an inevitable need for development.

My first attempt at astrophotography. Over the last few nights earth has been passing through the tail of comet Temple-Tuttle & this has resulted in leonid meteor showers. Last night was the first clear night and oppurtunity for me to give this a whirl.

All shots are 9 - 15 minute exposures, with an aperature of 4-5.6 & ISO of no more than 500.Next time I will try the stacking technique - I'm not too happy with the noise.

I didn't capture a meteor, in fact I only saw 4 in two hours. Early Tuesday morning is exepcted to produce another batch of bright meteors. I think I'll head out for that, this time with a blanket & a flask of hot hot hot coffee!!

Still catching up a little on posts, so this was from back a couple of days ago... actually Tuesday, which was the first day of the Northern Exposure photography exhibition that I'm part of.

Now what I meant to do was to get a photo of the exhibition itself, with the crowd of people that turned up for opening night. Unfortunately the night itself just went in a total blur, and all of a sudden it was over, and I'd missed the oppurtunity of the shot! Such is life.... and so a feature of the library that I caught before the exhibition started will have to suffice (with a bit of B&W artistic flourish)

The opening night itself was fantastic though, had a really good turnout (big thanks to those that came that may be reading this), and also managed to sell a handful of items which is always a bonus. It felt great to be exhibiting my work, from starting off properly with photography about 3 and a half years ago, it's quite a jump forward to being part of an exhibition and actually selling work in such an environment. I wonder what's next! :)

For those still interested the exhibition is on till the 29th of the month, at the Portico library here in Manchester. If you go and see it let me know what you think!

The other day, Freddy and I were walking from Hollywood Video to my house and this large yellow sign attached to a streetlight caught my attention. Stenciled on this yellow sign with black letters was "Remix Sale." This was, obviously, an oppurtunity that could not be missed. So we followed the arrows and, several signs later, came to our final location. The last sign was attached to a blue car and told us that the mysterious sale was "In the back!" Our curiousity peaked as we walked through the driveway and into the backyard of this seemingly random home.

We were not surprised to see a bunch of random things for sale. We were, however, pleasantly greeted by a nice lady who's job is to go through peoples' homes and "remix" them. She goes through their furniture and trinkets and completely redesigns them to match a solid theme for the room. At her sale, she had a lot of random things that an individual could buy and remix themselves.

We ended up leaving that sale with huge smiles on our face, and one or two really cool items. Freddy got this sweet bandanna that you'll probably see him wearing in future pictures of him!

So, due to the immense crowd at Upper Antelope Canyon and the fact that picture taking is next to impossible, while we were investigating other good photographic oppurtunities, Hema hit upon a lottery in Canyon X. Canyon X is located approx. 6 miles upstream of Upper Antelope Canyon and only a maximum of 6 people are allowed into the canyon an any given day and requires permit with tour guide. We were extremely lucky to have some open slots on the last day of our stay in Page. The drive includes a lot of off road driving and ups and downs and a somewhat slippery hike to get to the canyon. But the trouble is totally worth it since this is a very beautiful canyon (smaller than antelope in terms of length but no shortage of beauty). We arrived here around 9.30am (a couple of hours later than we would have liked to - that story for another picture). The light was still good and we were told by our guide we had atleast 3 hours of good photographic lighting and that we may have missed the best lighting. So we had to make do with available conditions. For someone who was on their first visit, this lighting presented its own oppurtunities. In the picture, you will see the light (sun was barely peeking through clouds) change color from a golden hue to an almost purple hue as the light travelled into the canyon. I was glad I was able to capture the different tones in the same picture. The bright spot in the picture is actually reflection of light and not a portion of the sky.

This picture was taken with the Canon 40D mounted on a tripod.

I was skating with Josh earlier, and it started to snow, which was a bit crazy. So we continued to skate for a bit, as it was a strange oppurtunity, so went and skated down the hill he lives on which was when this was taken. I am pretty pleased with how this photo came out :)

My sister was given the oppurtunity to do some interior design work for one of the homes featured in this year's Homearama.

She wanted me to go out and snap a few photos for her portfolio. These are a few of the better looking shots I think. I may add more if I have time to edit them some.

I'm thinking of starting a blog or a web site on hamster recipes because I have been searching the web and cannot seem to find very many recipes. I want to give other people an oppurtunity to make cute little snacks for their ham as well. I love cooking and cooking for Daisy would be very fun ^-^

EDIT- the web site has been created ^-^

Got the oppurtunity to see Don Broco for the fourth time on the 14th September in the cellar bar. didn't want to make these black and white but had no choice. Broco didn't disappoint once again.

Have never seen someone get as much air in the cellar bar as this. Simons a sick guitarist.

On New Years day My daughters, their dogs, and my sister had the wonderful oppurtunity to meet some long time flickr contact/friend, Anita&Greg. They recently moved to Florida which put them much closer to us, still about 4 hours away. So we met up in the Ocala National forrest and had a wonderful time together.

This is Julian who was the most perfect Gentelman with my girls, their goofy dogs, and all of us. It was a great day and we had a good time meeting someone that we have talked to on the internet for years. Can't wait to get together again.

Unfortunately I held Ellie when ever we went on walks, or eating lunch, or when the dogs were playing so I was unable to get a lot of photos, or really any good ones.

I saw all these fine rides parked next to one of the many car dealerships located along Route 1 in Saco,ME. I personally think the "Cash For Clunkers" program was carried out very poorly but it has created a nice photo oppurtunity...

Thanks for the Oppurtunity to shoot and create the VVRR Company calendar of 2013. The guy on the coupler has had to much MONSTER to drink this morning.

Volunteer Kendra Jackson in Ghana Kasoa, medical program. "Volunteering abroad has been something heavy on my heart for a few years now, and I am finally in a position where I will have free time in the summers and wanted to jump on the oppurtunity to give back. I always knew I wanted my first trip to be to Africa, and I chose Ghana because I have friends in Ghana and would love to help people in their country".

As Nicky and I both turned 40 this year we decided to do something different and went down to Kent for a few days. On one of these days we visitied the WIldlife Heritage Foundation. It's not a zoo and you cannot just visit. You have to book in advance. They host various days out and one is a photographic experience. During this day you get to see the cats up close and fairly personal, i.e. right up to the mesh. You can push your lens right though to get pictures of these beautiful animals without the annoying mesh, wire or bars that usually surround the compounds. It was a great day out and I would recommend it to everybody who loves photography and big pussycats!!!

Jumping Puma, this is Viktoria. She loves jumping for her food and in the meantime gives us ample oppurtunities to take pictures!
