A cherished project of mine to capture and document the life by the gigantic river Brahmaputra that enters India in the north-eastern frontier state of Arunachal, travels through Assam and has its confluence with the ocean in Bengal.
I have been having discussions with quite a few eminent who have been born an brought up on the banks of this river. I have just started the project as I my work has started taking me to Dibrugarh University where I have become a catalyst to empower the youth of Assam. It is a blessing.
First of the dancers who have been kind to participate are two students, Sattriya dancers, from centre of performing arts at DU - Bhagyashree Senapati and Purasmita Bordoloi; Also I had an oppurtunity to capture.a bunch of youth who do their physical training on the banks of Brahmaputra, The fishermen's village that lives on Brahmaputra
Some of you may know that our family plays alot of soccer. Here in Fuquay, they have rec which is what we have been playing for the past 3 years or so. This fall Madi is eligible for PDP (Player Development Program) or tryout see if you make the team soccer. We thought it would be a good growth oppurtunity. If she didn't make it, that was fine, we would just go back to rec. Damned if she didn't make it. We are very proud and it appears we have gotten a coach that has our same philosophy about soccer. Now we just have to crack open the check book a whole bunch. She better look good and do well or we are docking her allowance, just kidding. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!

along the Maas in the north of Maastricht, where the course of the river is
being transformed to be more organic and natural.

The so called "Grensmaas Project" is a part of the "Natuurbeleidsplan" by
the dutch government that shall provide for 190.000 hectares of new nature
by 2018 in order to counteract the crisis of decreasing biodiversity and
vanishing nature in the Netherlands.

Day 2 of our diving adventures began on dive site 777, followed by Tuna Alley. Our first oppurtunity to spear the invasive Lion Fish as well, there are many videos to go with this set of photos. An amazing day, started with a fantastic breakfast cooked on board.

Tom Hall played at Harvest Sessions on Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Harvest Sessions is presented by KDHX Community Media, The Whitaker Foundation and Tower Grove Farmers' Market and takes place every Saturday at the West Pool Pavilion in Tower Grove Park for the duration of Tower Grove Farmers' Market's regular season. Tom Hall has been performing for over twenty years and has won national and local acclaim for his exceptional blues guitar work. Harvest Sessions is free and open to the public.
Tom Hall has played in countless bands, but his solo performances truly capture audiences. He wanders through the sounds of Argentina, Ireland and Africa, but he always returns to his musical roots. When he is playing Mississippi-inspired blues, he shines like his signature National guitar. If you have not yet seen Hall play live, don't miss this oppurtunity to catch one of St. Louis' most talented artists.
The 2007 inaugural season of Harvest Sessions has featured great concerts from local and regional performers. With Tower Grove Farmers' Market as the backdrop, Harvest Sessions also hosted an International and Children's Series that proved very popular in the community. KDHX Community Media, The Whitaker Foundation and Tower Grove Farmers' Market are proud to sponsor this free concert series on Saturday morning.

As AFC Wulfrunians were playing at Quorn i took the oppurtunity to make a day of it and spent some time in the morning at the Great Central railway's Quorn & Woodhouse station.It was more fun than the football and the natives were much friendlier

Taken at the start of the womens tour 2014 in Oundle, Unfortunatley (or fortunatly dependant of your view point) I got stuck in a traffic jam due to the rolling road closures for 20min, so took the oppurtunity to grab the camera and get some shots as they passed by
Hello! I am so glad to participate in the Future India Poster contest.
Its a tough thing to say about India in a single frame, but i have tried to show some of the best things in India.
I have placed the picture of Mahathma Gandhi, the father of India.I take this oppurtunity as a tribute to our National father Gandiji.
I hav added the three major Religion symbols to show our unity.
The National emblem which symbolize our braveness.
Our National animal Tiger to show Indian's courage and the feathers of peakcock our national bird to show our politeness.
Culture of India is the biggest asset to all Indians, in that way i hav added our traditional dance Kathakali.
To show our Vast heritage i have placed alphabets from different languages.

Having pulled up behind the now departed 626 (yes two peak time 35s) The driver of 623 took the oppurtunity to grab a rest room break.
Got a pleasant surprise today. Was taking out the trash this morning when suddenly "Bob whiiiite"! Frantically scanning the trees for a mocking mockingbird, I heard the song again from the bush of the house across my own. Grabbed the camera and binocular and got this shot just as the little guy realized that I had seen him and stopped his call. I was already late for work, so didn't wait to shoot more. Also, the people across would probably get suspicious to see this me with the long lens aimed directly at their house. They would have probably come out and scared this guy away, so I decided to wait for another oppurtunity over the long weekend hopefully not on someone's private property.
Update: He's moved into the shrubbery in front of my house this morning, which is good since I can hear him loud and clear and bad because it's much more dense and dark from a photographic stand point and also he's easily alerted any time I step out with my camera.

While photographing another subject this guy decided to land on this perch only after I walked away from the post. Snapped photos as I gradually walked closer and closer to him. Perch is a little bit overpowering but these guys are a tough challenge here in Ohio so I was more then happy with this oppurtunity. Taken in Bath Nature Preserve, Ohio.

Karate Monkey's new drivetrain. SIS 2011 wrecked the drive train so a new BB and chain was in order... and a perfect oppurtunity to change the ring and cog. Used Homebrewed Components cog and ring. Great stuff! The chain is a ultra cheap KMC chain.

I liked that in this image there are two examples of altruism, one more joyful and next to the colourful and bright setting of the fashion shop, and one more somber, next to the drab backdrop of the plain building.
I really struggled with this challenge but it was lovely constantly being on the lookout for altruism! Thank you for the oppurtunity and mindset!
Must've been one one of, if not, my most favorite wedding I've photographed. Exceptional location, Exceptional bride and groom, Exceptional guests, and the perfect window of oppurtunity to shoot. Congrats to the both of you!

Hey Denise,
Trey's shoe came off and i used this as an oppurtunity to teach Trey
the word "shoe", which i think he knew already because I told him
"Trey go get your shoe" and he ran to get it.
Kiran decided to help me put Trey's shoe on. On one of the pictures
she was smelling them and said "stinky shoes", which is a game we
play. Stinky toes and stinky shoes is a favorite.
Oh how good is to work with kids!!! :) ..... Everyday I see them grow
and change so much....
