Dante stood around the wooden square table in the armory of, castle Eddern Harold. Among those gathered were: Duke Harold with his two most trusted knights, the two Elves of the wandering woods, and finally the two Paladins of course. They had laid out a map of Roiwa on the table.

" this is the Dragons Backbone." The one on the right from said, from behind his helmets visor. "It is deep in Garheim territory. Only eleven leagues from the Northen sea. The small town estabilished there is almost no better than a fishing village." He stopped for breath. At which point the other Paladin took his oppurtunity for an inter-faction jab to say "Most of Garheim is." There were chuckles around the table. Dante did not react, he had never cared for insulting the men of the Northen lands. After a few moments silent, the former resumed his report. "The Assassins have invaded with a full brigade of dragons soldiers and-" Dante held up a hand and he stopped. "Assassins?" Was all he said. The Paladin who was speaking sighed and, turned to Duke Harold. "You have not told him?" He asked. Duke Harold took a deep breath and, looked at Dante. "I suppose I didn't burden you with this news yet did I?" Before Dante could answer he continued. "The Assassins are our greatest rival Three hundred years ago a desert tribe was suspected of magic usage. A full company of Paladins was sent deep into Loreas to investigate. When they arrived what they saw was a massacare. The Areani.... The special forces of the Loreas military had arrived first. None were being spared by these animals, women and, children were being put to death. Without hesitation the Paladins charged into action they fought back the Areani forces and saved the village." At that he paused and, turned to the knight on his left. "Get me a drink laddie I am parched from all this speaking." He turned back to Dante and, started again. "Naive they were in those days though, foolishly they took them in forgetting their own mission and, treating them as refugees. It was the third night into out journey back to Lenfald when all were awoken by screams. The very people we had fought so hard to save, had betrayed them. Murdering countless of the order in their sleep. By the time they had driven them away, the number of dead amongest themselves was beyond the count of grief." At this Duke Harold looked down and, breathed out a heavy sigh before continuing. "After they made it back to Lenfald they sent inquirers out among Loreas seeking answers they found it one night when a young Areani warrior arrived at their compound at the risk of his own death. After being ushered into the main chambers to meet with Godfrey Oswald the fourth Chief Paladin of the order. He told him of all he knew of the desert tribe. He said they were the scourge of the western desert. A group of cutthroats for hire, and that was the beginning of our trouble with this group. I have told you what you need to know, now can we continue with the briefing?" Dante nodded thoughtfully rubbing his chin. "Our plan is simple. Take all available forces we have and crush them." The Paladin giving the report said. "No." Was all Dante said. he looked across the table meeting the others mans eye that were hidden behind his visor. "Excuse me" He said in return. "This I think has been our fault through the years. Allowing our brashness to interfere with sound logic." Dante leaned down and, looked over the map spread across the table. "If my map reading skills serve me well this is a mountain pass here yes?" Dante asked. "Yes that is" the other replied. "Well then, If we lead a company archers through we could flank behind the opposing force." the moment Dante suggested it heads begin to shake around the room. Duke Harold broke the silence "There is a reason there's no name beside the dotted line lad. Few if any have made it through that treacherous mountain pass." Dante began nodding at this when he looked across the table to look Duke Harold in the eye he said "Most men, but what of the elves?" When he said this, smiles broke out in the room. In fact everyone in the room was smiling, everyone except the elves. "We leave in the morning" Dante said.

On selected Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway running days Queensland Omnibus and Coach offer the chance to ride in a heritage bus. The bus operates from either swanbank or the Racecourse station pending the operational pattern being operated.

On October 9th 2016 the bus selected for the day was a 1958 Leyland Tiger built for use in Adelaide South Australia. The Bus is the last example in a complete operational state. Fitted with three sets of doors the bus was designed to be worked by a conductor similiar to the local trams with entry via the rear doors.

The starting point for the ride was Swanbank Station, a small historic hand out was supplied by the driver before departure from Swanbank. A number of passengers from the train took the oppurtunity along with myself to take a ride. The buses destination today was nearby Box Flat, the location of a memorial dedicated to 17 men who lost their lives in a minning accident in July 1972. The driver gave a small talk on the memorial and the impacts that this accident had upon on the area and the state during the 1970's.

The memorial site features a large stone plinth that holds a large plaque with the names of those that lost their lives, a small information panel attached to a second stone plinth off to the side of the main plaque gives a small run down on the tragic event and lists the deceased and their occupation.

Back on the bus the driver temporarily paused the bus near the position of where the old mine was located. Pointing out the locations of where the powerstation and mine was located and the few remaining items of the complex.

On the return to Swanbank those that wish to make use of the picnic grounds the bus will stop and drop off. The Bus returns back to Swanbank in time to catch the train back to Racecourse platform.

It's been a while since I went out on a little photo trip. So last weekend my wife and I decided to go to the aquarium in Pier 39. This is our first time to the Aquarium of the bay, it wasn't as good as Monterey bay aquarium but it had some interesting exhibits. We really enjoyed the walk inside the glass tunnel with sharks, sting rays and school of fish swimming all around us. Overall it was a fun experience and I would definitely recommend this place to people with kids. The kids were so excited to see the sharks and sting rays they didn't care much about the jelly fish that gave me a good oppurtunity to take pictures of them. This is the my favourite jelly fish shot from last weekend. Hope you guys like it.

Patient. This is all new to me, you know? You ever get that feeling where it just feels strange and you want to go back, but you can't? It's like, something's holding me back from this relationship. I can't ever get past it, you know?

Therapist. First of all, being honest, no, I don't know. Second of all, I don't even know what you're here for, what to diagnose you, what you're problem is. You're being introspective and emotional and all that stuff, but I can't read minds, Samual. You have to tell me what's wrong.

Patient. This relationship is new to me. Commitment is strange and I want to go back to being single, but I can't. I've mentioned "relationship." That should've told you I'm dealing with feelings of affection and love and all these things I never... ugh! And something's holding me back from being in love with her. It's driving me insane.

Therapist. (Puts away marker, clipboard, and glasses) Sam, I'm speaking to you as a friend now, not as a therapist.

Patient. Good, because you're a terrible one.

Therapist. (Sighs, almost annoyed) She's a wonderful girl. It's not surprising that you're not her first. Before you two were an item, you jumped at every oppurtunity to be with her, you comforted her, and you waited for her. Now that she's all yours, you're scared of not providing her needs in a partner. The needs that the others before you lacked and that's why you're holding back. It's fear, Sam. You're being cautious. Cautious is fine at the beginning of a relationship but if this goes on too long, caution can make you distant.

Patient. You're...right. I'm scared. I'm scared of losing her. I don't want to get too close with her because I know the closer I get, the harder it hurts when it ends. (Pauses) You're not bad at this at all.

Therapist. Well, we're still in college and I absolutely despise the psychology professer here. Plus therapists don't usually have a background of your childhood, your hobbies, your strengths, your weaknesses, your phobias... I'm not a good therapist. I just know how to be a good friend.

Patient. You're my best friend, Katherine. I wouldn't expect any less from you.

And SCENE! Just freewrote that duet right on the spot. My name isn't really Katherine. It's really Kady. And I'm actually a right-brained person even though me writing with my right hand shows differently. When I'm being filmed or photograph, I usually switch whatever I'm doing to my left hand to be percieved as different and more of an outside-of-the-box kind of person. I do write with my right hand, but I do just about everything else with my left hand with the exception of a few sports.

One main thing I do with my left hand is eat. If I'm eating ice cream, I hold the spoon on my left. If I eat spaghetti, the fork goes to the left. If I eat noodles, I use my left hand for chopsticks. I've eaten left-handed since I was about 11-12. I can even write neatly with my left but not as fast. However, I do find myself going up to the board in French and writing exercises subconciously with my south paw and scribbling with no difficulty.

Safety First!

Handmade Kumihimo Cuff

7" long x 2" wide

Fits wrists 7" to 9"

* * *

Tired of not coordinating your accesories with your safety orange hunting vest? Missing the neon orange of the 80s? Want some dayglo orange for that rave coming up? Want to dazzle the school kids at your crossing guard job?

Look no more!

Safety First! is a handmade 8 strand kumihimo cuff made from dayglo/safety orange yarn, I believe to be 100% acrylic, possibly acrylic/wool blend. This awesomely bright yarn is from the Team BNA Traveling Swap Box and found its home with me.

This is a fun cuff! It features a gloriously cool handmade stoneware flower by Lisa Peters ART, securely attached to the cuff with a Czech glass druk bead in teal with a vitrial coating. The flower itself color coordinates with the cuff itself, with a glazing of cobalt, hints of teal and bright orange.

The ends of this spectacularly bright- and I mean bright!- cuff are handbeaded in peyote stitch, using 6lb FireLine, with Czech glass seed beads in cobalt and teal. The clasp is a silver plated extension chain and lobster claw clasp.

Amaze your friends! Blind the deer or wild turky or men or women- equal oppurtunity here!-or whatever you chose to hunt! Flash back to the 80s! Where ever you wear it, Safety First! is sure to turn heads! If not completely blind people!

The first 3 photos are taken in direct sunlight. They serve to show just how bright this cuff is. The last 2 photos were taken in indirect sunlight. When I say neon, I mean neon!

A prop spacesuit as worn by Cilian Murphy in the movie Sunshine.

On display at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne as part of the Star Voyager exhibition. The exhibition was about the depiction of outer space on film and featured footage, literature and artifacts of the history of space on film, both real and fictional. A fascinating exhibition. Photography isn't allowed inside the venue, where this spacesuit, and eight others were on display initially. On a later visit, however, I found they had moved this one into the foyer, so I took the oppurtunity to get some photos.

First time trying some tilt shift miniature fakes - I figured flying was an ideal oppurtunity to start...whadaya think?

...and with these two shots I start my "Tilt-shift Miniature Fakes" set.

shot in the garden at my house. this might be a cowslip???. anyways just liked it and it was also a nice oppurtunity to make my first macro shots with my by then new lens (sigma 18-200 , 1:3,5-6,3) , i def. will be using this lens for my macro shots from now on, as long as i dont have a real macro lens...(yeah..keep on dreaming..LOL)

NL: deze bloem heb ik met mijn nieuwe lens geschoten in de tuin bij mij thuis. geen flauw idee(zoals altijd) hoe deze bloem heet..

@ scranfield : eh.. trust me it is the lens..LOL..

Everynow and then I have a ride down Claro Road to Emsleys yard on the off chance that there may be somthing new in the yard or maybe a photo oppurtunity worth grabbing.

On January 6th I was well chuffed...... Clearly there was a big job on early Monday morning as Liebherr LTM 1200-5.2 200 tonner KF02NUU was parked outside in the road along with her support truck...... the companies fantastic Scania R620 V8 "Topline" STGO Cat 3 & Brohus 5 Axle ( Self Steering ) Trailer waiting to depart Monday and perfect for a few fots there and then....... I happen to really like this particular crane...... you could say she was a favourite of mine.

So I parked my car in front of her for a shot........ Seen here.
