Welcome to 16th International Helsinki Open Wrestling tournament!
The competition was held on December 10th – December 11th 2022 at URHEA HALL.
The annually arranged Helsinki Open is a leading Nordic Freestyle Wrestling Tournament with categories ranging from kids to seniors.
The 16th Helsinki Open is the biggest in history.
This year there are a record number of participating countries, teams and wrestlers!
There are 21 countries, 114 teams and 678 wrestlers.

TodaysArt presenteert in samenwerking met Nippon Television Europe (NTVE) een Japans gericht programma binnen het festival. Een hoogtepunten van dit programma is ‘Open Reel Ensemble’ van Ei Wada, in samenwerking met Kimitoshi Sato,Haruka Yoshida, Takumi Namba en Masaru Yoshida. 'Open Reel Ensemble' combineert reel-to-reel (open reel) tapedeck-technologie met moderne technologie en creëren zo een nieuw muzikaal instrument. Door live hun eigen stemmen en andere geluiden te sampelen en tegelijkertijd meerdere tapedecks te gebruiken, ontstaat er een unieke performance gebaseerd op een langvergeten medium.
In collaboration with Nippon Television Europe (NTVE), TodaysArt has created a program that focuses on Japan. One of the highlights of this program is the ‘Open Reel Ensemble’ of Ei Wada, in collaboration with Kimitoshi Sato,Haruka Yoshida, Takumi Namba, and Masaru Yoshida. The ‘Open Reel Ensemble’ combines reel-to-reel (‘open reel’) tape deck technology and modern technology to create a new musical instrument. Sampling their voices and sounds on the spot, the ‘Open Reel Ensemble’ uses multiple tape decks to form a unique performance around a forgotten medium.

More than 160 wrestlers, representing 33 clubs were in action at the Sports Campus Ireland National Indoor Arena in Blanchardstown.
The I.A.W.A' s biggest championship yet! Was organised on 3 mats with wrestlers from clubs around Ireland and the World!
There were wrestlers from Ireland, the UK, the USA and more!.

My friend, Linda feeds the squirrels...and they know it! They come right up to the window and demand a nut!
Excelsior Printing and Bookbinding works opened on Monday 4th of July 1870. It employed over 750 people. Today all of them are dead, much like the building. It's slowly decaying, with the remnants of ancient files strewn across empty rooms. It's good here.

To mark the sixtieth birthday of photographer Anton Corbijn (b. Strijen, 1955), the Gemeentemuseum and the Hague Museum of Photography are organising the most complete retrospective of his work to date. The museums will pay homage to this leading portrait photographer in a duo of exhibitions held in the two different locations.

THE LAST GOOD TIME
Andy Warhol’s famous dictum that “Making money is art and working is art and good business is the best art.” in an age of media and internet saturation sounds less like an off hand quip and more a prescient statement of fact.. It is fitting then that the inspiration for the series of darkly reductive artworks created by artist Pure Evil that make up the core of the Last Good Time show was an email full of thumbnail images received from a Chinese company specializing in the reproduction of the classic canon of western artwork, produced by an entire copy village indifferently mass producing Rembrandts and Warhols .
From this spark came further artworks in a series built on the idea of the tragic muse, the 'POP' combustibility of creative relationships and the dark side of the classic glamour of the age prior to tabloid overload, seen through the ghostly tear filled eyes of Elizabeth Taylor, Li Tobler, Sylvette Davide or Brigitte Bardot.
