Always wished to see one lunar eclipse on Lake Superior and capture it with hollow rock in foreground. when the time came to witness and capture one, couldn’t find Tripod in my trunk. There were 3 other photographers shooting blood moon with Hollow Rock in foreground and I had been disappointed. I couldn’t dare to ask them to lend the tripod for few minutes . Weather was brutal and it was freezing with windchill of -41F. I shot this handheld and after processing a bit in Lightroom, I was happy with the result and it has been one of my favorite shot.
According to Swarm, I haven't ridden @MetroTransitMN's #NorthstarLine in over two years. I'd figure to better to take a trip.

Minnehaha Falls
Minneapolis, MN

Minnehaha Falls sits near the boarder of MInneapolis and St. Paul. It is fed from the Minnehaha Creek to the west and flows into the Mississippi River to the East. This is perhaps Minneapolis’s best urban park.
Every winter the creek and falls freeze solid. This shot is taken from behind the frozen falls. While technically not legal to be back there, and somewhat dangerous as the massive sheets of ice can break loose and come crashing down at any time, the view from behind the falls is a unique look at the marvels of Mother Nature.
If you enjoy this shot, look through the rest of my pictures in this series and you’ll see the magnificent colors that come alive in the ice, and some pretty cool and unique views of water frozen in motion.

The new, orange-lit Lafayette Bridge creates a nice complement to the sunset sky over the Mississippi River near downtown St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Mississippi River reflects the magenta sky as the sun sets behind the Minneapolis skyline on the last day of May, 2015.

The dying sun left just enough magenta in the sky to enhance the Lowry Bridge and its reflection. It was lit red, white, and blue to celebrate Worker Memorial Day - April 28.
The St. Croix river is overflowing in downtown Stillwater. The bridge is nearly touching the surface of the water.
