The 747 family with British Airways has continued to dwindle once more as Lima Sierra has become the latest airframe to be placed into storage meaning there are now 47 serviceable 747-400's now with the airline.
One airframe however which has a couple more years left in traffic and still proudly carry Oneworld vinyls on the fuselage is Victor Lima as it graces the skies heading towards Dallas-Fort Worth, a major 747 route for BA.
Victor Lima was new to BA in March 1997 and has been in Oneworld livery since 2009. The gorgeous bird is powered by 4 Rolls-Royce RB211-524H engines.

Ever since the retirement of the Boeing 747-400 within British Airways back in 2020, the flag-carrier has lacked a commercial airliner to feature Oneworld logo-jet colours, something of a pre-requisite as an airline alliance member that a small portion of the feature should feature such colour scheme.
Prior to COVID-19, plans were already afoot to repaint their Boeing 777-200ER fleet into Oneworld colours as the Boeing 747-400s continued to be whittled down, however that plan was postponed following the global downturn in air traffic during the pandemic. Initially, 6 Boeing 777-200ERs would receive such colours which now appears to be taking place.
The first Boeing 777-200ER to receive Oneworld colours was back in December 2022 and it certainly raised eyebrows, myself included when the finished result was revealed... The Oneworld looking decidedly more squashed on the fuselage compared to other similar logo-jets adorned by the remaining members, mainly down to the lower belly being painted in blue and to ensure the British Airways logos remain visible. This wasn't so much of an issue with their Boeing 747-400s considering it had more area to play with considering it was a bigger plane. For other airline members, Oneworld logo-jets typically would appear on a painted white fuselage.
At present, 3 Boeing 777-200ERs have received Oneworld colours, all being Rolls-Royce examples with 2 based at London Heathrow and one based at London Gatwick. If the previous plan is being followed, a further 3 examples are due to receive Oneworld colours.
Currently, British Airways operates 59 Boeing 777s, which includes 43 Boeing 777-200ERs and 16 Boeing 777-300ERs. British Airways have 18 Boeing 777-9s on-order.
Yankee Mike Mike Uniform is one of 43 Boeing 777-200ERs operated by British Airways, delivered new to the flag-carrier on 31st July 2009 and she is powered by 2 Rolls-Royce Trent 895 engines. She has carried Oneworld logo-jet colours since January 2023.

Chasing certain British Airways Boeing 747-400's have proven to be easy, and sometimes difficult... Trying to find, or get a decent image of the last Oneworld logo-jet has proven to be a tough task.
A long standing route for British Airways is their daily London Heathrow to São Paulo-Guarulhos flight (BA246/247). During the S15 schedule, the flight operated 10 times a week... However, the route fell victim to the ongoing economic and diplomatic crisis in Brazil. The route went back to daily during the W15, and also saw Hi-J Boeing 747-400's replaced by Mid-J Boeing 747-400's.
Since 10th August 2016 (3 days before this photo was taken), BA246/247 saw 4-class Boeing 777-200ER's take-over, and have remained on the route ever since. From 29th October 2017, the route will be up-gauged to Boeing 777-300ER operation. So not a Boeing 747, but is close enough to the capacity that it once had...
British Airways currently have 36 Boeing 747-400's in service... Next withdrawals take place from 2018. The running down of the fleet will mainly concentrate with 18 Mid-J configured examples, with 18 Super Hi-J configured examples expected to leave towards the end of the current decade.
Charlie India Victor Papa is one of 36 Boeing 747-400's in service with British Airways, delivered new to the flag-carrier in February 1998 and she is powered by 4 Rolls-Royce RB211-524H engines. Since new; she carried Irish-inspired, Colum World Tail designed by Timothy O'Neill. She was repainted into BA's standard Chatham Dockyard Union Jack livery in April 2003 and became the first Boeing 747 to gain Oneworld logo-jet colours in January 2009.

Throughout the course of 2019 has seen deliveries of the Airbus A320neo and the Airbus A321neo ramping up, with CFM International slowly catching up with late deliveries and Pratt & Whitney modifying their geared turbofan engines.
For Iberia, the carrier took delivery of their first Airbus A320neo back in 2018, the same year British Airways also took delivery of their first example. The only major difference between the British Airways and Iberia Airbus A320neos are that Iberia have adopted the bandit or raccoon mask around the windshield which is adopted as standard on the Airbus A330neo and Airbus A350s. A large number of newer Airbus A320neos and future Airbus A321neos are also being painted with the masks on the windshields.
The 20 Airbus A320neos that Iberia have on-order is part of a larger order placed by parent, IAG. Since then, Iberia has been further allocated 4 standard Airbus A321neos as well as 8 Airbus A321XLRs for their smaller long-haul flights which would not be filled by their Airbus A330s which are their smallest wide-body jets they have in their fleet.
Currently, Iberia operates 44 Airbus A320 family aircraft, which includes 13 Airbus A319s, 14 Airbus A320ceos, 6 Airbus A320neos and 11 Airbus A321s. Iberia have 12 Airbus A320neos, 4 Airbus A321neos and 8 Airbus A321XLRs.
November Foxtrot Zulu is one of 6 Airbus A320neos in service with Iberia, delivered new to the flag-carrier on 10th September 2019 and she is powered by 2 CFM International LEAP-1A26 engines. She has carried Oneworld logo-jet colours since new and is named after the Spanish patron of air and aeronautical forces, Virgen de Loreto, or translated as Virgin of Loreto.

Another day, another British Airways 747-400 to sink our teeth into as the jumbo jet continues its slow decline with Britain's flag-carrier as the total has now gone down to 45 following the recent withdrawal of Lima Uniform beginning in October 2014...
With 45 Boeing 747-400's in service with BA, only 8 carry Oneworld alliance branding, Victor Kilo carrying this livery since June 2009.
Victor Kilo is currently not up for withdrawal at this moment in time, delivered new to BA in February 1997 and she is powered by 4 Rolls-Royce RB211-524G engines.

The S22 schedule was the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic where airlines saw their schedules return to near normal; at London Heathrow that is certainly the case for the US3 who have pretty returned to near normal levels of service to pre-pandemic levels, with the noticeable change being how the carriers allocate their fleet.
Prior to 2020, American Airlines flights from Charlotte-Douglas and Philadelphia were in the hands of Airbus A330-200/300s, but that changed following their withdrawal owing to the pandemic, and American Airlines wanting to simplify their wide-body fleet with Boeing 777s and Boeing 787s now being the aircraft of choice for the carrier's long-haul needs.
Before the ramping up to the S22 schedule, Boeing 777-200ERs were the scheduled operating aircraft from London Heathrow to Charlotte-Douglas and Philadelphia, which indeed did happen during the W21 schedule.
Today, American Airlines twice daily flights from London Heathrow to Philadelphia (AA728/729 & AA736/737) are now in the hands of Boeing 787-9s; with the Philadelphia hub becoming a major Boeing 787-8/9 base since the withdrawal of the Airbus A330s. The twice daily flights from London Heathrow to Charlotte (AA730/731 & AA732/733) will continue to utilise Boeing 777-200ERs as their Charlotte hub now sees Boeing 777-200ERs becoming their long-haul aircraft of choice.
In the future, American Airlines are expected to replace their eldest Boeing 777-200ERs once more Boeing 787-8/9s arrive from Boeing, all depending on regulatory approval from the FAA. The vast majority of their Boeing 777-200ERs are now well over 20 years old and although have since been refurbished, they will require replacing in the near future.
Currently, American Airlines operates 67 Boeing 777s, which includes 47 Boeing 777-200ERs and 20 Boeing 777-300ERs.
November Seven Nine Six Alpha November is one of 47 Boeing 777-200ERs in service with American Airlines, delivered new to the carrier on 18th December 2000 and she is powered by 2 Rolls-Royce Trent 892 engines. She has carried Oneworld logo-jet colours since July 2009.

Qatar Airways, like other airlines operating from the Persian Gulf has expanded at a rapid rate, but so far Qatar is the only airline operating within the ME3 to have joined an airline alliance, thanks in no part to British Airways who they have a strong relationship (since Qatar Airways now owns a stake in IAG, the parent company), plus was the airline who mentored the Gulf carrier's membership with the alliance group.
Since joining the airline alliance in 2013, Qatar Airways have painted 6 of their passenger jets in Oneworld logo-jet colours, 4 of which are Boeing 777-300ER's and 2 Airbus A320's. It is really no surprise that they have painted Boeing 777's and Airbus A320's in Oneworld colours given that both airframe types provide the large portion of flights across the network, A320's namely short-haul and 777's are long-haul.
Currently, Qatar Airways operate 46 Boeing 777's which include 9 Boeing 777-200LR's, 29 Boeing 777-300ER's (with 4 more on-order) and 8 Boeing 777F's (8 more on-order). The company also have an outstanding order for 60 Boeing 777X next-generation aircraft, which include 10 Boeing 777-8X and 50 Boeing 777-9X aircraft. Currently, Qatar Airways are in the process of retrofitting all of their Boeing 777-300ER's with *gulp!!* 10-abreast seating in their Economy Class section, with future deliveries due to be fitted with the new configuration. The airline also have 2 separate high and low density cabin interiors, the density change mainly being their different Business Class seating layout. It's worth noting that Qatar Airways won't be retrofitting their Boeing 777-200LR's to 10-abreast seating... For now!
Bravo Alpha Bravo is currently one of 29 Boeing 777-300ER's in Qatar Airways fleet, delivered new to the Gulf carrier in December 2007, was painted in Oneworld colours since November 2013 and she is powered by 2 General Electric GE90-115B engines.
