Area K-5th graders participate in the Hy-Vee One Step Garden program this morning at the Sandburg Community Garden at Carl Sandburg College. Participants learned about and helped in the garden, and even had a chance to plant a variety of seeds to take home and watch grow!

OneStep 600: Impossible PX 600 UV Film

An alternative version on the classic white OneStep.

Polaroid Onestep Talking Camera- in a super snazzy BLUE!

This style of Polaroid 600 series was released in the early 1990's. It featured an updated design, with rounder corners than the sharp, boxy 80's models. Apart from the rounder body, it also features a built in close-up lens as a standard feature, allowing you to focus as close as 60cm when engaged. Like all 90's 600 cameras, this one features a 116mm single-element lens, fixed focus with a minimal focal length of 4 feet, electromagnetic shutter and built-in electronic flash.

The Talking Onestep 600 has a unique gimmick. The camera is able to record speech (or music) which is played via a loudspeaker just before firing of the shutter. It works in a similar way to a digital answering machine, allowing you to record any message on it you want. It also has three pre-recorded messages built in if you don't want to record your own voice. The sound effects can be switched off completely if desired.

TZ拍出來的照片都我都十分喜愛,我喜歡這種懷舊味!

candy for candy-coated tongue.

Taken with a Poloroid OneStep with 600 film.

The SX-70 is a folding single lens reflex Land Camera first produced by the Polaroid Corporation in 1972. It was the first instant SLR in history, and the first camera to use Polaroid's new integral print film, which developed automatically without the need for intervention from the photographer.

The SX-70 has a folding body design, a 4-element 116mm f/8 glass lens, and an automatic exposure system. The camera allows manual focus as close as 10.4 inches (26.4cm), and has a shutter speed range from 1/175s to more than 10 seconds. This makes the camera incredibly versatile, and it can be used in pretty much any situation, from portraits to long exposure photographs.

This type of SX-70 is a "SONAR Onestep". Quite literally it is one of the best model of SX-70 cameras available.

The main feature of this amazing model is its AUTOMATIC FOCUSING system. When the shutter button is pressed halfway, a series of ultrasonic chirps is emitted from an electrostatic transducer located under a gold plate above the lens. These chirps travel to the subject and bounce back to the camera’s receiver, alerting the camera to the subject’s distance, and the lens is turned via a motor to focus accordingly.

Don't think for a second that this automatic focusing is gimmicky! Simply put, its one of the most accurate automatic focusing systems ever made, and will outperform most new digital SLRs. It can focus from infinity down to 26cm in under 1 second!

Of course, you can over-ride the auto-focus and focus manually with the touch of a button if you want to.

The SONAR SX-70 models also features a tripod socket as well as a neck strap, to make the camera more portable to carry around. Most standard SX-70 models did not have these features.

This particular model is the rare "BC Series" version. The BC Series was the name designated to cameras specially branded for sale at USA K-Mart stores. Although we do not think of K-Mart as a very serious brand these days, back in the 70's K-Mart was actually quite heavily involved with photography, selling many lenses, cameras and flashes under the brand name "Focal". It differed from standard models in its color scheme, which featured a mix of both black and chrome look panels and a unique, grippy pebbled rubber leatherette.

Sadly though the original rubber leatherette does not usually stand the test of time, and most BC Series coverings crumble away in your hands. The original leather on this camera was crumbling away, so I replaced the original covering with genuine pebbled black cowhide leather, to give it the luxurious finish it deserves while maintaining the originality of the color scheme.

This particular model is the rare "SE" version. It differs from the standard Sonar models in that it features a sleek black body and blue shutter button. The "SE" stands for "Special Edition". For those wondering what was so "special" about the SE, back in the day it came with extended warranty.

Camera: SX-70 OneStep

Film: Polaroid Originals SX-70

I tried to get this shot three times, with fuzzy success. But I still love them. The first two were taken on the 22nd and the third on the 24th. The sun came out brightly for the third, but my guess is that the wind was blowing all three times which lead to the squigglies. That's okay though, slowly working out what my 600 OneStep can handle.

TOKYO | Polaroid

SX-70 Sonar Onestep, Poraloid 600 @ Odaiba, Tokyo, Japan

These days, it was pouring a lot in Tokyo.

This weather disappointed a lot of photographers, I think, but for the first time in three days, today was such a sunny weather that I went outside to take photos on the spot. Actually, I was sort of excited about it. I went to several favorite spots to take photos of and one of them was Odaiba, that is a wonderful spot for couples and families. In reality, there were so many couples and families who were enjoying this weather, a serene park and beautiful views. In my opinion, the collaboration between modern objects and natural places is the greatest part in this place.

Anyway, I was waiting for an airplane that was flying behind this ferris wheel and at last, I got it in a frame. Fabulous !!!

I always feel that the posts I have seen in foreign countries are much cuter than the Japanese ones. I prefer this style over the Japanese one.
