I tried to get this shot three times, with fuzzy success. But I still love them. The first two were taken on the 22nd and the third on the 24th. The sun came out brightly for the third, but my guess is that the wind was blowing all three times which lead to the squigglies. That's okay though, slowly working out what my 600 OneStep can handle.

These days, it was pouring a lot in Tokyo.
This weather disappointed a lot of photographers, I think, but for the first time in three days, today was such a sunny weather that I went outside to take photos on the spot. Actually, I was sort of excited about it. I went to several favorite spots to take photos of and one of them was Odaiba, that is a wonderful spot for couples and families. In reality, there were so many couples and families who were enjoying this weather, a serene park and beautiful views. In my opinion, the collaboration between modern objects and natural places is the greatest part in this place.
Anyway, I was waiting for an airplane that was flying behind this ferris wheel and at last, I got it in a frame. Fabulous !!!

If you tell enough people that "I still shoot film", neglected film cameras can appear mysteriously on your doorstep. Such is the case with this 1977 Polaroid OneStep. HAPPY FRIDAY!

Polaroid OneStep camera and PX100 test film from The Impossible Project. I almost tossed this camera in the trash because it was not working even though it had worked perfectly last year. I discovered it was the ITT Electronic Strobe which was attached to the camera. Once I removed it, the camera worked flawlessly. Anyone have any reasons why?
The SX-70 is a folding single lens reflex Land Camera first produced by the Polaroid Corporation in 1972. It was the first instant SLR in history, and the first camera to use Polaroid's new integral print film, which developed automatically without the need for intervention from the photographer.
The SX-70 has a folding body design, a 4-element 116mm f/8 glass lens, and an automatic exposure system. The camera allows manual focus as close as 10.4 inches (26.4cm), and has a shutter speed range from 1/175s to more than 10 seconds. This makes the camera incredibly versatile, and it can be used in pretty much any situation, from portraits to long exposure photographs.
This particular camera is the SX-70 "SONAR Onestep" SE. Quite literally it is one of the best model of SX-70 cameras available.
The main feature of this amazing model is its AUTOMATIC FOCUSING system. When the shutter button is pressed halfway, a series of ultrasonic chirps is emitted from an electrostatic transducer located under a gold plate above the lens. These chirps travel to the subject and bounce back to the camera’s receiver, alerting the camera to the subject’s distance, and the lens is turned via a motor to focus accordingly.
Don't think for a second that this automatic focusing is gimmicky! Simply put, its one of the most accurate automatic focusing systems ever made, and will outperform most new digital SLRs. It can focus from infinity down to 26cm in under 1 second!
Of course, you can over-ride the auto-focus and focus manually with the touch of a button if you want to.
The SONAR SX-70 models also features a tripod socket as well as a neck strap, to make the camera more portable to carry around. Most standard SX-70 models did not have these features.
This particular model is the rare "SE" version. It differs from the standard Sonar models in that it features a sleek black body and blue shutter button. The "SE" stands for "Special Edition". For those wondering what was so "special" about the SE, back in the day it came with extended warranty.

A friend picked up a mint OneStep with Q-Light at a local flea market for $2. They charged up the flash and were pretending to take my picture when... Surprise! This photo popped out! The camera had 3 exposures of expired Time-Zero film in it!

I've decided I'm done with the integral-film Polaroid cameras. I had one more pack of expired 600 in the fridge, so I got out my best 600 camera and shot the entire pack in an hour. I then listed all of my integral-film cameras on eBay -- *except* my SX-70. I can't imagine ever shooting it again but it's such a fascinating and wonderful machine that I'm not ready to part with it.

There are so many parks in Sydney.
I don't know exactly how many.
Maybe, even Australian people don't know it.
I pass by one park, and I get to another.
The other day, I passed by this park, "The domain". Actually, this park is not very special compared to other famous parks like Hyde Park, but I don't know why I feel comfortable here. Huge plain ground with only a white goal, so I faced to it with my camera. Lovely.

This ATZ shot was peeled apart and then I washed the chemicals from the paper negative. Then I scanned and inverted it for a positive image.
This is similar to the "goop" technique used on peel-apart films, but it takes more work to get to this image.

i'm slipping into the airwaves, the static's where you'll find me
sorry for the lack of updates. i've been shooting only film recently and i have tons of shots from my europe trip and other stuff. i'm taking it all in, despite my (possibly) irrational fear of getting them developed. hopefully i'll be able to scan some of the prints within the week. there's a reason why i never want to get film developed, but that's a story that i'll share another day. in the meantime, i'm going to try and revert back to digital for a little while.
anyways, i was so excited to get this polaroid. i was at the beach and we have family contests, and two of the prizes were onesteps that my grandma bought because she knew i loved photography. so now i'm the proud owner of a white onestep and a black onestep 600. it came with some film, but it's been exposed so i can't really use it :[
i also came to the conclusion that a 365 project doesn't have to be 365 consecutive days. so i'm starting my 365 project and adding whatever 365 photos that i please.
this camera will be used in future shots, guaranteed.
my lighting was a flashlight to camera right (i'm poor lol)

I finally found an SX-70 at the thrift store (on my lunch break, no less -- the day hasn't been wasted). It was $9.99 worth of awesomeness! So I bought the hell out of it. Next step is, of course, to get the filter so that I can use it with the currently-available film (Polaroid 600).
Special note: This is the last photo I got to take with my Samsung E335. A day after this was taken, Mister Mistoffolees urinated on it and completely destroyed it. Sad.
