My grandpa, passed away in April this year (2025).
Trying to get back into uploading photos here, haven't been able to shoot or scan as often now with two kids in the house, but it still is an important outlet for me.

If you are interested in Japanese modern arts or designs, you might've already recognized who made this gigantic dog.
Yep !!! A Japanese artist, Yoshitomo Nara, who is now well-known worldwide, created this dog. He is originally from my hometown, and he held several exhibitions here. You see the old brick building behind this dog in this photo, eh !? This building used to be a sake brewing garage, but he thought that this place was the perfect location to display his work, so he arranged and decorated this building to show a lot of his work. That's why he made this big dog as a symbol in front of this building, and now, this place became a fabulous park where kids play around !!!
If you are sensitive to Japanese modern culture, it's worth checking Yoshitomo Nara's work for sure !!!

Polaroid SX-70 OneStep Sonar with Impossible Project PX70 test film (2012). Dial set one notch to dark.
Shielded with a darkslide slotted into the camera, and immediately held under my arm, as it was a cold morning.
This large, bonkers spotty sculpture is in the plaza outside Lille Europe station in northern France, where I change trains from the Eurostar from London to the TGV down to Avignon and my parents.
I have only one pack of this amazing new film, but I knew I'd have to get a picture of this. When I saw the morning sunlight on it, I knew it would be a dereliction of duty NOT to!

My fifth and sixth packs of polaroids with the OneStep+ were the standard colored instant films with white frames. I started shooting them at a new year's party at the end of 2019 and continued well beyond the birth of our son on February 8th 2020.

One week ago, we had a long holiday, we call "Golden Week", in Japan, so I decided to go back to my hometown. Whenever I go back there, I am usually eager to meet my old friends and skateboard together, but after I get immersed in taking photos, I can't help going out to go to great places to take photos when it is sooooooooooooo sunny. Time time, I went to a place, "Yamadano", that has a lot of rape blossoms. Also, amazingly, this place doesn't have any person. My father and I occupy this place !!! I feel it very luxurious !!! I think that this is absolutely the advantage of a local area. During summer holiday, I might go back to my hometown again because in Japan, there are so many unique summer festivals, so I am really in the mood for taking photos of them. Off course, I will spend time with my friends a lot next time !!!
since an all plastic land camera 2000 was given to me some month ago, i was searching the web for some 600 film or better still some sx70 packs. then a few weeks ago i stumbled upon an auction at the bay where someone was selling two expired sx70 packs together with an old polaroid cam. from the photos and description i wasn´t able to identify the cam and he didn´t answer any questions. at least i decided to place a low bid - hoping to get the filmpacks for a reasonable price. no one else joined the auction - i guess this was due to the poor description (he even spelled "polaroid" wrong) - and finally i got the whole stuff for 6 euro incl shipping. the cam is fully intact and working. there was even a third sx70 pack with some shots left inside the cam. yay!
